Just got it as part of an SI new subscription package. I'm loving getting the magazine... I just hope it's better researched than the shirt...

Wasn't it 1946? Perhaps something happened in 1960 - is that when the Browns joined the NFL? (as opposed to the AFL)?????? I dunno - hopefully someone can make sense of it, as I'd hate to see SI look THAT dumb.

i think they joined the nfl in '50
i have no idea why they listed 1960

That's strange. The Browns were est. in '46 and joined the NFL in '50.
Why it says '60 I have no idea whatsoever. I'm stumped.
On a sidenote, the stoolers were est. in '32 and didn't get their first postseason win until I think '72. The imacculate reception game was their first postseason win. They suck. I had to throw that in there since it's stooler week.
How in the world can you fix something...
