His music was part of the soundtrack of my high school years, and beyond.
Despite never having the smoothest voice, he was an incredible performer. I saw him in concert a few times, and he always put on s great show.
RIP Eddie. Thanks for the memories, and the music. I pray that God will comfort your family and friends.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
I literally just listened to Two Tickets this morning ... dang, RIP to a great singer
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I heard he had stage four cancer. Sadly it was news I was expecting to hear at some point soon but certainly didn't want to.
Yeah, I have a buddy (48) that has stage IV of the pancreas and liver. I hear he's doing well, but stage IV is stage IV. I don't want a text message from his brother in a few months (unless it's to say he's cured).
To honor Eddie, I'll add a few of his songs to my in home playlist today.
Oh yeah, cancer sucks.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
Not the best voice or best songs, but the dude was extremely likeable and full of energy. Somehow, he could make you stomp your foot and put a smile on your face w/his upbeat style.
I am having to accept that I am at an age where many of my contemporaries are passing away and my own mortality is becoming more and more of a thing.

Right! That is haunting bro, on one hand I'm cognizant that it's just a fact of life. On the other, I feel like lending it any credence helps seal my own fate! It's a weird place.
Yeah, as they say: the 20th century continues to fade away .. sad

I liked Eddie’s voice. There’s a certain rawness to it I always appreciated. I never really dove into his catalog of music. Today I heard a song in the background of a podcast and came home and looked it up. I’d never heard it before but I really dig it. Four chords done well.
