I posted the tweet in the Republicans thread. In the wing of HoR Republicans that have allied themselves with Trump, he's part of that fanatical branch that includes Gaetz, MTG, Jordan, etc. It's really horrific, honestly.

I'd be curious to go back through the Isaiah Crowell thread, when he received backlash (rightfully so), for posting an image of a masked person killing a police officer. I'd like to measure the consistency of people who (again rightfully) vehemently spoke out against Crowell vs the situation now where we have cartoon imagery of someone using a sword to kill a Congressional Representative.

I understand that we live in an age where even our elected officials are being given a pass for acting like immature frat/sorority students, but this right here crosses a big line.

I don’t care what the excuses are. I don’t care about the what abouts. I only care about THIS specific issue. Everybody threw a hissy fit with the comedian with a chopped off trump head. Well, I need that same energy.

I don’t care who it is, you do not make disgusting videos fantasizing and glorifying the killing of your political opponent, no matter who it is.

If any of us in the military, office, construction job, ANY profession, pulled a stunt like this, we would be instantly fired and probably have the cops talking to us.

This sick behavior needs to stop. People think because trump AGAIN somehow dodged consequences for acting like this, Some republicans think it’s ok to act just as disgusting and hostile as him.

Use this jerk to send a message. This is harassment, it’s is disgusting, and unacceptable for a US congressmen to use his power and authority to share videos of him murdering someone in an anime.

If we the people allow crap like this to slide and just point fingers, then nobody should complain about the state of society and divide that exist in this country today. Because we then become THE problem ourselves.

Because he didn’t put him into office, we the citizens did…

After reading your posts for so long, you calling someone else brain dead is the very definition of an oxymoron.

I just watched the video twice and didn't see where he threatened AOC? I saw what appears to be a threat to the president. If he threatened anyone in office I agree with Swish that he should be made an example of. The rhetoric in politics needs to be ramped down.

It's felonious assault on the eyes, ears, and brains of all who saw it.

The giant person walking through the streets had AOC's face super-imposed.

What do I think????? I think both sides are 100 percent nuts. I think America is going to hell because both sides can't come together and compromise. I think both sides should be elimated from our government. I think I am too alone in my thinking.

Why do you always come out with the "both sides" argument when GOPers do something completely insane? Serious question and not a knock.

If Paul posted this on his own he should be forced to step down... if someone on his team did it without his knowledge they should be fired and he should apologize... I'm not an AOC fan but that's just pathetic and ridiculous... the fact that one of our 'leaders' in this country would post something so childish and disgusting is sad...

We have entered the political “theater of the absurd”

People with a political footprint and a couple of opposed thumbs can do anything over the top to get noticed, and they do, without accountability.

The meanest and snarkiest get noticed on Twitter…

They follow the leads of their predecessors, the Steve Kings, the Alan Graysons, and every other political Rush wannabe that does not respect their political office and their gerrymandered political insulation that guarantees a return to office.

And we will complain about the nature of political discourse until we muster the courage to call them out.

But in a post Trump world, that is just not going to happen.

So go ahead, try and claim another victim, but that won’t happen.

I don't just bring both sides up when GOP'ers do something stupid. I bring up both sides all the time no matter which side is is acting like a donkey.
