Looks like the PAC 12 media deal is far less than anticipated.

Buffs will get full share of the media deal for the jump

Sounds like a Arizona and Utah and a couple others might make the jump too..

Apparently San Diego was going to attempt to leave the MWC but then they got the news about the PAC-12 deal.. along with the fee to leave the MWC they realized.. not good idea.. and high tailed it back to the MWC...

PAC 12 will be in major jeopardy if Oregon goes to the BIG

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yeah there's a huge fear that they might get raided since USC/UCLA making the jump to the Big Ten... and it might be the death of the conference... unless they don't go raiding too... etc..

Not sure a big time conference can survive this many exits in a short amount of time. There's nobody worthwhile waiting to replace them.

They are done. You don't replace a UCLA or USC with a New Mexico State and expect to be viable any longer.

My guess is Oregon to the Big 10, and Arizona to the Big 12

Looking increasingly like Arizona, AState and Utah to Big 12

And Oregon and Washington to Big Ten... maybe Cal and Stanford as well?

Wild rumor that the B1G will invite Clemson and FSU?

That leaves Oregon SU and Wazzu

Maybe the MWC should merge with whatever is left with the Pac and become the Pac-Mountain.

With Utah also goes Arizona State as well...

RIP Pac12...

4 schools left Stanford, Cal, Wazzu and Oregon State...

Most are speculating Cal just cuts all sports, Stanford goes independent.

Others speculating they take the best of the group of 4 left and make a new conference... Though the MWC exit fees to backfill for 24 is 34mil... would take 8 schools from the MWC to dissolve the conference...

I'd assume the PAC 4 will merge with the Mountain west

Cal and Stanford and SMU land in ACC...

https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/01/sport/stanford-cal-smu-atlantic-coast-conference-spt-intl/index.html

Which is interesting because some schools in the ACC are currently disgruntled with their TV contract... predictions are that they get raided and get picked apart by the B1G and SEC soon enough.

So rumors are that means Wazzu and the Beavs will then use the money of what is left of the PAC to rebuild and build a "best of the rest conference" the AAC and MWC might get raided

Here's a nice article that spells out the realignment in 2023 and 2024 for each conference.

Realignment Tracker

NCAA 2023: College football realignment tracker

With all the action in college football's seemingly non-stop conference realignment chatter, it can be hard to keep up with exactly who's coming and who's going. But that's why we're here.

After two consecutive years of seismic moves -- Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC back in 2021 and then USC and UCLA to the Big Ten last year -- this year may be the most far reaching of all. Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah have decided to join the Big 12 in 2024. Meanwhile, Oregon and Washington are heading to the Big Ten, bringing the Pac-12 to the brink. And now, with the 2023 season already underway, we get the latest move -- Cal, Stanford and SMU will be headed to the ACC in 2024-25.

We've got you covered with all the domino effects, including the Big 12's expansion this year and what it means for the American Athletic Conference and everywhere else.

Below are all the conference realignment moves scheduled for the next two seasons.

(Newcomers to conferences are in bold)

ACC
The ACC has made its move, adding Cal, SMU and Stanford for the 2024-25 year.

2023

The conference will continue to play with 14 teams this season before expanding for 2024.

2023 teams: Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest.

2024 teams: Boston College, Cal, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Pittsburgh, SMU, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest.

Big Ten
The Big Ten has seen some of the most change over the past decade-plus as far as teams coming into the conference. Nebraska joined from the Big 12 in 2011 and was soon joined by Maryland and Rutgers, from the ACC and Big East respectively, in 2014. USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington will join the conference in 2024.

2023

The conference will remain at 14 teams.

2024

In one of the biggest moves in realignment history, Pac-12 schools USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington will join the Big Ten in 2024, pushing the conference to 18 teams. More announcements on future divisions will come.

2024 teams: Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Washington, Wisconsin.

Big 12

The Big 12 will get one more Oklahoma-Texas Red River Rivalry before both teams head to the SEC in 2024. LM Otero/AP
Oklahoma and Texas kicked off the latest round of realignment in the summer of 2021 when the teams announced the intention to leave the Big 12 for the SEC. In what was a move originally planned for 2025, the teams decided to join in 2024 earlier this year. The conference will welcome in four teams in 2023, and then another four teams in 2024 -- all from the Pac-12.

2023

BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF will all join the conference this upcoming season. The Big 12 will play with 14 teams in 2023.

2023 teams: Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, West Virginia.

2024

Oklahoma and Texas leave for the SEC. Colorado rejoins the conference and brings with it Corner Schools Arizona, Arizona State and Utah from the Pac-12 to bring the league to 16 teams.

2024 teams: Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, UCF, Utah, West Virginia.

Pac-12
Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington are leaving in 2024, essentially disbanding one of college football's Power 5 conferences.

2023

The conference will remain at 12 teams.

2024

UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington leave for the Big Ten. Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah will leave for the Big 12.

2024 teams: Oregon State, Washington State.

SEC
After adding both Missouri and Texas A&M from the Big 12 in 2012, the SEC will welcome in Oklahoma and Texas beginning in 2024. The move will bring former Big 12 rivals Texas and Texas A&M back together as well as former Big Eight rivals Oklahoma and Missouri.

2023

The conference will remain at 14 teams.

2024

Oklahoma and Texas will join the conference from the Big 12, bumping the conference total to 16 teams.

2024 teams: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Miss. State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt

AAC

In 2021, Cincinnati became the first Group of 5 team to make the College Football Playoff. In 2023, the Bearcats make the move to the Big 12 along with fellow former AAC members Houston and UCF. To offset the losses, the conference welcomed in six new teams in July.

2023

Cincinnati, Houston and UCF leave for the Big 12. Meanwhile, Charlotte, FAU, North Texas, Rice, UAB and UTSA all join the AAC. The conference will have 14 football-playing members in the upcoming season before dropping down to 13 -- as of now -- in 2024.

2023 teams: Charlotte, East Carolina, FAU, Memphis, Navy, North Texas, Rice, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, USF, UTSA.

2024 teams: Charlotte, East Carolina, FAU, Memphis, Navy, North Texas, Rice, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, USF, UTSA.

Conference USA
Conference USA has the most movement of any conference this upcoming season as six teams are leaving and being replaced by five other teams over the next two seasons. Marshall, Old Dominion and Southern Miss left the conference for the Sun Belt in 2022.

2023

Conference USA will be losing Charlotte, FAU, North Texas, Rice, UAB and UTSA to the AAC. The conference will add Jacksonville State, Liberty, New Mexico State and Sam Houston to replace the teams leaving. The conference will play with nine teams in the upcoming season.

2023 teams: FIU, Jacksonville State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, UTEP, Western Kentucky.

2024

Kennesaw State will join Conference USA to push the conference's member total to 10.

2024 teams: FIU, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Sam Houston, UTEP, Western Kentucky.

MAC
The MAC has not announced plans to expand or contract and will play the 2023 season with 12 teams.

2023 teams: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan.

Mountain West
The Mountain West has not announced plans to expand or contract and will play the 2023 season with 12 teams.

2023 teams: Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Nevada, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State, Wyoming.

Sun Belt
The Sun Belt's latest realignment happened ahead of the 2022 season as James Madison joined from the FCS while Marshall, Old Dominion and Southern Miss joined from Conference USA. The conference has not announced any further plans to expand or contract and will play with 14 teams in 2023.

2023 teams: Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Louisiana, Marshall, Old Dominion, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State, Troy, Louisiana Monroe.

I wouldn't be a happy camper in a conference that is spread from coast to coast. I am just speaking from a fan perspective. Every other year you will be making those west coast starts and doubt all of those teams are going to want to kick a noon every game. They are going to want their fair share of 7-8PM kicks which turn in to 10-11 PM starts in the eastern time zone.

unbelievable game ... Colorado is fun to watch

This Nebraska game has been a dogfight... looks like CO is pulling away. If they win... they might jump up in the 25 but probably not by much...

Gonna be out in Arizona Oct 7th-9th. Like 10 minutes from Tempe, real tempted to go see CU play at ASU. Tickets start at $92, 2nd row upper deck on the 10, it would be just me going. Price isnt the issue, with me being fair skin, sitting in 100+ heat for 4 hours might kill me, lol.
