Fans, when do you think the College Football Conferences change their names--I never thought the Indians would be the Guardians, or the Washington Redskins would be the Commodores- taxes, death, and change- sure things.

OK- the Big 10 hasn't been 10 for quite awhile- Southeast Conference, Big-12......NONE of the names make any sense now. When do you think they change the league/conference names.

I hope they change them soon. Go Browns!!!

Instead of NCAA they should call it the NFL feeding capitalism crash course league.

And then ask the NFL for some of that Amazon money.

There is a lot of bad safety play today in college football.

Not wanting to tackle, or even get in position to.
Syracuse and that highlight from that 200 yard first half in another game.

Did Colorado lose again. yep.

Couldn't happen to a better coach.

The PAC12 defense is so bad. Games are jus like track meets

Why is that? Colorado is an unranked team who lost to the #8 school in the nation by a TD.

It's very possible that they win out or get close anyway...

That's pretty impressive for a year 1 coach..

And they have recruits coming in as well.

Colorado needs to get healthy too ... but I can see them winning a good majority of those games

The Big10 is unquestionably the best conference in college football. To think, next year we’ll be adding USC. Insane.

What????? Have you forgot the 20 years of SEC dominance? They are adding both Oklahoma and Texas.

I’m not going back 20, 30, 40 or 60 years as in that time span the best conferences have flip-flopped multiple times.

Over the last few years, the SEC has been Alabama +Georgia + a bunch of marginally good teams. The BIG10 has been Ohio State, Michigan, and a bunch of marginally good teams.


This year, the SEC looks like this

Georgia 1 + A marginal Alabama + the other marginal teams.


This year, however the BIG10 looks like this:

Ohio State 3+ Michigan 2 +Penn State 6 + marginal teams = The BIG10.


As for next year, looking at the current rankings, the BIG 10 will be adding

Washington 8, Oregon 9, USC 10. - Giving the Big 10 6/10 top teams in the country.

The Sec will be adding Oklahoma 5, and Texas 7. Giving the SEC 3 of the Top 10 teams in the country. — Will these rankings change by next summer, yes. However, the days of the Sec being considered the best conference are gone. Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, A&M have fallen off a cliff and should no longer be allowed to ride the coattails of Georgia and a fading Alabama.

The Big10 is now and will be going forward, the best conference in the country.

Not even close. The SEC has had 6 different teams win a National Championship in the BCS and Playoff era and will be adding 2 more teams that did so. The Big Ten has had Ohio State and will be adding USC. That's it!!!

Also, there is a huge difference in those marginal teams. The Big Ten's top 2 to 3 teams annually are just as good as the SEC's top 2 to 3 teams every year. Georgia/Ohio State proved that last year. I think the biggest difference between the 2 conferences is the strength of teams 4 thru 12. This year the Big Ten has what Maryland that is capable of beating a top team on a given day. The SEC has a handful of those teams. Depth of the conference is the difference and it is shown in how many different teams can and have won the National Title.

I have to say that the SEC has been dominate. And it's not even close. Until that changes it is what it is and I don't buy into reading the tea leaves trying to claim that will change. It is what it is until it isn't. Until such tome as the Big 10 can prove it's a better conference, it isn't a better conference.
