I'll say it now. I don't want anything to do with this guy.

If the price is right, (which it wouldn't be), I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in on a one year deal.

However, he's going to be wanting too much money, and I think he'll ultimately retire.

Even if it was a one year deal and the price is right I still wouldn't want Tomlinson. The only thing he is good for is blocking.

I always hate to see these great players getting released. He was a fun guy to watch and at his best was one of the all time greats.

Living down here in San Diego, I've seen a bunch of Chargers games.

I would not describe him as a good blocker. Maybe I caught every one of his bad-blocking plays and wasn't watching his good ones, but I've seen quite a few of those the past 2 years.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

To put LT in the same class as Jamal Lewis is just not fair to LT.

umm.. I was referring to Braylon Edwards.. Jamal Lewis is no cry baby.. He did complain ONE year of his career... but is no cry baby.. Very hard worker.

That's even worse. LT has been nothing but classy his entire career.

(I assumed you were talking about Lewis since we were talking about RB's)

I agree. I would rather see the playing time that would go to LT to go to James Davis or Jerome Harrison.

I don't believe we should be looking for players to bridge any gaps between what we have now and what we want in the future a la 1 year deals. Save that money and slot for some fresh legs.

I agree. We are not a couple of pieces away from competing in a year or two. Bringing in someone like LT or even Peppers will cost a lot of cash. But by the time we are rebuilt and a perennial playoff team those guys will be gone.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

I really think bringing him in, for cheap money or just one year, or whatever deal is like looking for bargains in a poison shop. We need so much with an eye towards building the future; don't dilute the focus with this guy. We gotta NOT get this guy.

He's looking for a championship, thats all he wants..Saints or Jets might like to use him for a year.
I don't think the Browns go after him.

Exactly. Tomlinson is a 1-year rental for a team looking for a quick fix at complementary back, not a solution for a terrible team's running game. Let's draft a young power back early in the draft to pair with Harrison for the next few years, not bring in another bandaid on the back end of his career. I've loved LT's game for the longest time, but he's a shell of what he once was.

Do not want. We need to build a team, not just add a couple of pieces to make a run at the big show. He's not the answer for us in three years so why waste the money now?

Fun guy to watch in his prime. I'll guess he lands with either the Colts or Pats.

I'm glad this isn't the prevailing opinion.

Didn't they already get this guy when they got Jamal Lewis? Ok, not exactly. It is all speculation anyway.
