He's done. I did like him while he was here though.

Loved him when he was here, but I don't think that he can help us these days.

The Patriots defense has been fairly terrible this year... and he can't keep a spot on that squad?

Would love to see him back in a Browns uniform. Just one of my absolute all time favorite Browns. No longer a starter but he is still a quality 3rd type. He was never good in zone, which is why I really didnt see him as a fit in New England but he can still bump and run.

Man... I still remember his breakout year here. He got his shot when Gary Baxter went down (after blowing out BOTH knees on a single play.... wtf???).

We thought we'd found our Darryl Revis. Even Chad Johnson propped him BigTime (remember "the list?" He did call him 'Lehigh Bolden,' tho- ) without naming any other DB.

Seems to me that he was always a talented athlete, but couldn't stay healthy enough to actually earn a paycheck. Did he ever play an entire 16-game season?

Liked him when he was here- until he got in a scrape with the po-po at Hopkins Airport. Just park where you're supposed to, dummy!

Sad to see him relased... and unless a team is really, really thin in their 2ndary, his career is probably about done.

He did beat the odds, however- starting out as a UDFA.

Good luck, Leigh.

The problem is that he can't go to the Cleveland Airport without getting arrested again.

Loved him with us and might see some use. If he can get separation and run three-yard routes, he can be part of the Crack Part-Time Receiving Corps we are building. How much has he lost since he was with us? Haven't seen his game lately.

You don't think he would beat out Sheldon Brown in straight up competition?
I think he was just about ready to start playing his best when he left the Browns last time.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Yes, I did actually. Ironic. I was willing to install him on offense from the defense if he could get open since our receivers have been so lousy. But thanks nonetheless. The love alluded to there is not love at all.

No news on this guy yet? I'm sure he wouldn't come back here.....maybe? I think we could use him.

He would probably go anywhere there was a paycheck.

That being said, he had some attitude with the Patriots when he was moved to cover the slot receiver. There were reports of attitude issues when he left here too. He only lasted a year in Detroit.

This year, New England is dead last in pass defense.

There are a lot of reasons to have concern about him. He's battled injuries. He's getting up in age, while battling injuries. I wouldn't go after him. Evidently, neither will the rest of the league.

Whatever happened to Daven Holly?

Remember when we thought we had a Corner Tandum set up for years to come?

*sigh*

Chiefs take a look-see at Leigh Bodden
Posted by Mike Florio on November 3, 2011, 7:22 PM EDT
David Nelson, Leigh Bodden AP

Six days ago, the Patriots abruptly cut cornerback Leigh Bodden. Three days ago, no one claimed his services on waivers. At that point, he became a free agent.

Per a league source, Bodden visited the Chiefs on Wednesday. He has not yet been signed.

Though the knee-jerk reaction by many will be that Chiefs G.M. Scott Pioli is interested because he signed Bodden while in New England, Bodden joined the Pats after Pioli left. Instead, Bodden’s link comes from his time in Cleveland, playing for Chiefs defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.

Bodden is eligible to recover the balance of his $3.9 million base salary from the Patriots as termination pay. If he signs with a new team, he gets to keep that money, too.
