j/c what do you guys think about Brandon Taylor as a WLB? That guy was huge running with those DBs! CBS has him as a 5th-round guy, but safeties seem to almost never get drafted any more. I think if we miss out on/can't fit in one of the top OLB prospects, it might be worth taing a late flyer on him and trying him out. He could really move and change direction, he was huge, and could catch the ball.

i would worry about a S really wanting to mix it up on the OL, be able to shed blocks and be able to hold his ground to set the edge (the toughest part of run support)

if we bring him in for a personal visit though, we can test him on it.

Taylor as an OLB? Nah...but Taylor as a SS/FS? Sure, he looked good...I'd be ok with him starting day 3, he is value from the 5th on but he'd be an "ok" health-risk pick in the 4th too (but I think I'd prefer other prospects)

I agree that I wouldn't be looking at him before the 5th round. Maybe not till the 6th, but if he falls like the safeties did last year he could be a nice pickup. Thanks for the input, guys.

Good read about the Combine from an agent's perspective

yeah i tend to agree on a lot of points. I don't like Mayock telling guys they should do this or that. Saying "Joe Haden ran a bad forty at the combine but ran a good one at his pro day and got drafted 7th."

So what?

Why should Luck throw? why should Griffin throw? You just got done telling me they're going to go 1-2 in the draft? What benefit can they possibly get from this? Showing Heldawg that they have arm strength?

I agree with that totally. There is no reason to do that but in a controlled environment that they control.
