Not so much a single commercial, but I absolutely love infomercials.
I think the best part is the "before" parts of the ad, like how your life is so unbelievably terrible before you get the product.
The guy's running around with the hose wrapped around his neck, his house catches fire, he steps in a bear trap, etc. Then, he gets the little hose reel and he gets the promotion, his wife is suddenly a supermodel and he stops being a Steelers fan.
I'll probably catch a little bit of flak from the ladies for this but that commercial where the guy wins a prize for lasting 5 seconds listening to his wife makes me burst out laughing. I got a real dirty look from the girlfriend for doing so the other night. haha
I think that the Travelers Insurance commercials with the dog are special.

The first one of these I saw annoyed the hell out of me.... but then, I realized what 'game was being worked'... and I was hooked.
Dude's supposed to be as annoying as those "life events" that force you to call your agent. Allstate- FTW!
When he rolled out in that pink jogging suit, I KNEW a car was gonna get wrapped around a pole. Didn't keep me from watching it. A funny ad campaign.
Effective? I don't know. I'm not privy to those industry numbers. But I do know this: any ad that makes me stop my fast-forwarding during a replay of a Browns game MUST be worth something....
The first is the 2 politicians at Fed Ex, talking about their "good clean race", with "no need to get nasty".
The other one is the air conditioner ad with Mary Matalin and James Carville, where she says "OK, You can turn the temperature down if you can say "New Orleans".
