Well I think that's definitley the writing on the wall Heckert is gone for sure now. Unless Oatterson did something we haven't learned about yet.

It was reported that the team was very angry with his lack of urgency trying to get back onto the field (can't post an informal link tho)

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Also saw a report that said he had a bigger head after signing his new contract last March.

Manning vs Skrine is going to be the mismatch of the season.

sooo... who made the move? Banner or Heckert?* I think that answer gives us a lot of info.

* I know you probably don't know, i'm just thinking out loud. But if you do by chance, spill it dammit

Funny I was just thinking the same thing. The answer to that could tell us the answer to a burning question alot of us have asked.

I really would love to see Bademosi get more defensive opportunities. I think he's a special kid.

because we cut a CB who was never healthy and terrible when he did play?

i think we were just waiting for him to get healthy again so we could cut him without him being able to use the NFLPA to get his full year contract.

He actually earned that contract as he was pretty good last season as a nickel and spot starting no2, but if the rumors are true than all he wanted was this multi million contract....well, he got his 5.5-6mil now but he's leaving a good 10mil on th table for the next 2 seasons

We weren't keeping him for 5.6 and 6.4mil cap hits in the next 2 seasons, so I guess we made sure he was healthy enough to get cut and take away his last 2 pay cheques which equate to around 400k

With Ward possibly out too now and no DB on the PS we could look to steal someone else's PS player? or maybe we promote a DE with Rucker possibly missing time too? I'd like to see Ricky Elmore get a shot

and like YTown I'd give Bademosi more playing time too, but I suspect we will see Wade first

i thought Heckert overpaid, but, yes, he did earn a new contract. this season, he has not earned any time on the field and the conduct off according to reports is enough to just cut bait and move on.

Ward is a man.

Love his play. I agree with you. He takes a lot of flack on here, but he's a really good strong safety. Really good.

I agree. He's an enforcer and a guy is legitimately be concerned about if I was a WR.

Paired with a talented center fielder we'd have a terrific tandem.

Btw with all these guys out will Peyton throw for 300 and 3TDs or 400 and 4?
