I DVR'd it. I'll watch it either later tonight, or maybe tomorrow.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I went into the living room last night, and a version of the Ten Commandments was on and about half over. Finished watching it, but I liked the version with Charlton Heston better.

I heard from a good friend who is in Duke Divinity School that they took some serious liberties... I didn't watch it but according to him some Biblical figures that are barely mentioned get major parts in this serious and others who have whole stories based on their lives are never mentioned.... He was absolutely not impressed with this as any kind of factual representation of what the Bible says...

I was shocked that they completely skipped Moses coming down the mountain with the 10 Commandments, to find the people having build idols and worshiping other gods. This whole section was one of the more important stories of the Old Testament, yet is was completely omitted.

I wasn't terribly impressed.

According to him.. so this is all hearsay... Neither Jacob nor Joseph are mentioned... both major stories of the Old Testament... yet Lot's wife, who doesn't speak a word in the Bible, has a very big part and is largely given credit (or blame) for every bad idea known to man... then there is a very dramatic sword fight between Moses and Pharaoh's son, which the Bible didn't mention...

I may now have to find it and watch it for comedic value if nothing else..

They actually start the friction between Moses and Pharaoh as young men, I don't recall them having physical fights when they were both young men.

That's really funny if you think about it.
