People hate on the guy for good reason.

He hasn't been so hilariously/epically bad the past couple games. He doesn't pop out of the screen negatively quite as often, and even gets in some big tackles/stops once in a while.

To your point, though... the damage has been done in the eye of the fans.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
