J/c... How do they not call pass interference on that play ? the defender isn't looking back for the ball and is making contact with the receiver..
Was it because he was falling forward ? but still falling into the receiver... I don't understand penalty calls like this... help me guys / gals

Bridgewater has had little protection, but when he has had protection he has been bad. Not a good week for last year's QB class. It seems like his passes are very soft. That's great on shorter passes, as it creates a very catchable ball ... but he has very little intermediate to deep game at all from what I can see. I wonder how he would do in the swirling wind of CBS in December? Further, I thought that his footwork was really, really sloppy. I also wonder why Norv didn't run AP more. Man, get him going and it opens everything else up.

Julio would have been a good pick I think The trade was still better. We just botched the picks we got in return. Same with the Watkins deal. Gotta disagree with you on this (the Jones part). I don't think it's wise to pass up a game-changing play maker for more first round picks. Every time I see Julio Jones lighting up this league, I wanna punch Tom Heckert right in the nose.

Gotta admit, I really thought All Day would have been involved more and etc. He had like 30 yards on 10 carries.
I didn't watch the game, but 10 carries? Norv, you got the best back in the league there... I'd be handing it to him snap after snap.

Maybe it wasn't a good idea for Kelly to turnover half his offensive line.
Bradford is not going to last long if he keeps getting hit like this. Get Tebow on the line! I would like to bring it to all attention I know I have stated it before...but the Run & Shoot, Kelly's version - whatever. Will have their QBs get killed. Great for college cause after 2-3 seasons that QB is gone.
Shanny is a good X's O's but the OZBS with us and the one they ran had the similar results.
We'll see if Quinn blue printed how to stop the EAGLES O as he had done it with Seattle and now with Atlanta.
Vikings 49ers, Wow who was that genius DC on the 49ers taking that rag tag defense and made them look GREAT!
Dallas/Giants...son #2 is a Cowboy fan - Son# 1 now married left before the game. Son# 2...swearing and talking about no going to work the next day cause it looked like all was lost. Then boom...He couldn't wait to go to work...lol What a good game!
So we are 0-1 with Steelers and Ravens right?

I was trying to think of players that were at least somewhat in the discussion at the time. But yes, that would have been nice (although I'm not sure Shurmur wouldn't have ruined him).

The whole league missed on Wilson, but instead of TRich, Weeden, Mingo, Gilbert and Manziel, the Browns could have either Tannehill or Bridgewater at QB, one or two of ODB, Jeffrey, J.Matthews at WR, Bernard, L.Bell or Hyde at RB and Rhodes or Fuller at CB...without too much hindsight involved. I don't expect to hit all of those picks, nobody's perfect, but damn, with multiple top picks year after year I expect more than a 0% hit rate

Wilson would have never been allowed to develop here. People forget how raw he was his rookie year. He was only successful in backyard football mode, and at one point he was going to be benched.
The Cleveland talk show mouth pieces and fans would have lit the guy up. Coaches would have been fired, GMs fired, and the next guys up would want their guys and Wilson would have likely been jettisoned to another team.
Players should honestly thank their lucky stars when they don't get drafted by the Browns. Their careers actually have a chance.

Once Kelly adjusted his offense, the Eagles were fine. Exactly, they lost by less. On another note, Bridgwater looked horrible.

I loved Donald out of that draft, but he was a pure 4-3 DT when we played a pure 3-4. This constant scheme switching has cost us multiple high picks and good vets too that didn't fit later on (Sheard, Taylor, Rubin and recently Winn). Remeber the discussion that we'Re good to switch to Horton's 3-4 after Holmgren/Heckert? Funny how that "evolved", lol

I don't expect to hit all of those picks, nobody's perfect, but damn, with multiple top picks year after year I expect more than a 0% hit rate http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...-russell-wilsonDave Dameshek's imaginative "N'if'L" series has already envisioned a scenario in which Russell Wilson was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles rather than the Seattle Seahawks. Dameshek didn't know how close he came to nailing that hypothetical scenario. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll revealed Monday that general manager John Schneider had to talk him into drafting the under-sized quarterback. "John convinced me on Russell," Carroll told TheMMQB.com's Peter King . "He was on him early, then he came back from seeing him late in his season at Wisconsin, I think against Michigan State, and he was so enthused about him. I watched a lot of tape on him, and John was right on. Then he got here, and he was everything John said he was." Football observers are reluctant to acknowledge the role that luck plays in turning franchises around, but this is one of many indications that the Seahawks were fortunate to wind up with Wilson. Schneider thought highly enough of Wilson that he wanted to pull the trigger in Round 2 of the 2012 NFL Draft. The Seahawks ended up waiting a round, picking up star middle linebacker Bobby Wagner along with Wilson. Had Schneider been unable to sway Carroll on the merits of Wilson, the Seahawks might have lost out to the Eagles, Jets, Packers, Colts or Redskins -- all of whom had Wilson on their radar. In fact, NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah confirmed that then-Eagles coach Andy Reid "loved" Wilson and was set to draft him at No. 88 overall -- 13 spots after he went off the board to Seattle. Wilson ultimately ended up playing for Carroll and Schneider because fortune favors the bold. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/28/pete-carroll-thinks-russell-wilson-can-be-great/Pete Carroll thinks Russell Wilson can be great Posted by Michael David Smith on April 28, 2012, 8:12 AM EDT Pete Carroll AP Seahawks coach Pete Carroll knows some people think Russell Wilson is too short to play quarterback in the NFL. But Carroll knows something else: Wilson was a good enough player in college, first at North Carolina State and then at Wisconsin, that there’s a chance he could be a great player in the NFL. And if you have a chance to take a quarterback who might be great in the third round of the NFL draft, you take him. “More than anybody else that was alive in the draft, this guy gives you a chance to have a great player,” Carroll said, via the Seattle Times. “It’s going to be really exciting to see what he can bring. All he’s ever done is be great.” The Seahawks took Wilson in the third round, No. 75 overall, making him the highest drafted quarterback in Seattle since Rick Mirer was the second overall pick in 1993. Carroll thinks he may be a steal. “This is such an incredible athlete that has had extraordinary, historic success,” Carroll said. “He has done things that people had never thought of before. The fact that he was also such an extraordinary kid, he can handle all of the pressure that he’s going to be under, and all the scrutiny that he already has.” Wilson will likely serve as the Seahawks’ third quarterback behind Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson this year, but if Carroll is right, Wilson has what it takes to become a starter in Seattle. --------- I can't find the link, but I distinctly remember Pete Carroll saying after the draft "there are two players we would have been absolutely sick over missing out on... Irvin and Russell Wilson." Everyone knew he could play, they were just worried about his height.
He was further along than most rookies his rookie year. He had experience with the WCO at two different schools with different terminologies and... oh yeah... we were allegedly running a WCO here at the time. Instead we drafted the damn idiot juggs machine. In the first round, no less. That smarmy turd Holmgren grinning like he pulled one over on the rest of the league. What a smug tool.
