Paul Byrd vs. Ramon Ortiz @ Jacobs Field.

Already 2 - 0 Twins

And is MLB.TV screwing us on purpose? Are they making us so fed up with the regular MLB.TV that they are forcing us to upgrade to the Premium?? Just hear the volume!!!!! It's a mixture between the radio and STO!!!! Yea, not so bad just with STO or Radio at once, but at SAME time?!

GO TRIBE!

And how come websites aren't streaming the radio of the game anymore? WTAM and WKBN aren't!!

Hopefully no one steals my Hafner's Hulksters idea before I get to go to a game in June.

I'm watching (while waiting to leave for softball game),...but when you're up 9-2 and don't have to worry about a "Wedgie," there's nothing to write home about,...

I was just about to bring this up too!

God bless Fausto! I can't believe he is a Borowski save attempt away from beating Santana for the second time in a row! What a gem today, maybe they will leave him in for the 9th!

COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT for Carmona!

4 H, 2 BB, and 4 K in 121 pitches!

AND it was against Johan Santana (which btw we've beat twice this year).

Carmona (5-1) with a 2.55 ERA (and he should be 6-1 if it wasn't for that blown 9th inning in Yankee Stadium). WOW!

I was VERY weary of that due to his poor job as a closer last year, since it was a save situation in theory.

Thankfully I was proven wrong. I could only imagine how much his confidence would have shattered if he blew it in the 9th today. Instead I think it did the opposite, it was his shining moment and his confidence can only rise from there.

Now let's get Jeremy Sowers back on track.

Wow, great win! Complete game for Fausto, he is on fire! I think I would rather see him on the mound than even C.C. right now! Big sweep, we have been owning the Central. Anyone know when we play the Tigers?

I think Paul Byrd might want to put his house on the market. I don't think he lasts past the trade deadline. When Westy comes back, Fausto isn't going anywhere.

Politely, I have to say OH HELL NO.

a) Byrd's been on fire this year.
b) You can NEVER, EVER, EVER have too much pitching. Someone's gonna get hurt eventually. Think about just how much Carmona has saved us this year, we could have been devastated by the Lee and Westbrook injuries.

Unless we take a serious nosedive in the next couple months (dear God I hope not) none of our pitchers are going anywhere.

Hope your right, and I agree. I just have a gut feeling that Borowski won't be the closer at the end of the year, and Byrd might be the bargaining chip we need to bring someone in.

I agree about Byrd, he has been great ever since he added that new pitch in the offseason. As of right now it looks like Sowers would lose his spot in the rotation when Westbrook came back, unless he gets his act together very soon. It is great having depth!

Keep all the starters until the trade deadline. We can maybe trade one for a closer but keep them all for another 2 months.

The pressure is on Sowers to earn his spot back from.....goodness, it's nice to have too many starters!

I was just going to say Sowers may be the odd man out...he hasn't been exactly doing the same job he did last season...maybe he needs to go back to the minors and work on his control. Quite a luxury the Indians have...too many starters...when was the last time we were able to say that?

What about Byrd for Brad Lidge? He has been tearing it up as of late after starting the season off rocky. He has only given up 10 hits and 1 run in his last 12 appearances, along with striking out 21 and walking just 2. As of now, he is still in the setup position. Byrd has been pitching great, but if we could somehow manage to bring in Lidge that would be incredible. As for Sowers, he'll be sent to AAA once Westbrook returns. CC and Carmona are just pitching lights out right now. If they both continue to pitch this well, we might have two Cy Young candidates on the pitching staff.

One thing to also keep in mind is that Adam Miller has been tearing it up in Buffalo. He could be a potential replacement as well if we decide to move a starter. It should be interesting to see what happens. I don't really want to trade away any starting pitching either, but if we are able to get a impact player in return, I believe that we have enough guys that can pick up the slack. All I know is that having too many starting pitchers is a nice problem to have.

Tribe temporarily back in 1st place in the Central. That could change if the Motor City Kitties win the tail end of their doubleheader with the Bosox.

Well, keep in mind that CC might be traded next year (or gone in FA). We don't have the cash to keep him. Heck, most teams in the big don't have the cash to keep him.

Miller has been good in Buffalo, but he missed his scheduled start today due to a finger injury, so there may not be a timetable now on when he could be ready for the majors. Just an FYI.
