Could the season have started any worse? We did set a record though! 11 straight opening day losses and only 1 win in 17...yes 17 years! That is an amazing feet even for the Browns.

I have a feeling we will play better this week though (well of course how can it get much worse), especially on defense. I just don't think It'll be enough for a win. It's almost impossible without any playmakers and Manziel is a turnover machine.

No question in my mind...we win 27-10

Tampa is really bad, but still, what Mariota did is impressive. I don't think he will have the same kind of day, but we don't really have any offensive weapons and Tennessee does have some weapons.

I have a bad feeling that this board will be in full melt mode around 8pm on Sunday. I was impressed with Tennessee (not just Mariota, but their weapons and their defense). Plus, we don't even know who's starting at QB yet.

Sankey with his speed will most likely gash us in the run game and out of the backfield ... we seem to struggle with those "types" of backs.

I'll predict something like Titans 23 Browns 13

It seems that every year the Browns lose one game they should win, and win one game they should lose.

As this is the only game on the schedule that I think we should win, it has to be the one we lose unexpectedly.

We made Fitzpatrick look good, and I figure we'll boost Mariota's confidence as well. More soft coverage, poor tackling and lack of containment on D. That crap doesn't get fixed in a week.

Ineffective again on offense. More of the same from JFF.

On the plus side, we cut down on the number of penalties.

Tenn wins, 31-7.

Tennessee played as well as we played bad, with that said nobody is as good or bad a they look from week to week in the NFL ... BROWNS 24 TITANS 17 ...

Browns defense still gives up a bunch of yards but is better at forcing field goals, Browns win 17-16.

Mariota is the type of quarterback that I always wanted to be a Brown.

During the draft process I pimped him as hard as any player outside of Luck.

He has all the qualities you look for and they were all on display in college.

First he has the mind set. He works hard and studies hard. He has off the charts athletic ability. He is a high character guy who leads by example.

Accuracy is excellent. Has great ability throw on the run with pin point accuracy.

Smart decision maker. In college his TD to int. ratio was record setting.

All of what he is doing in the NFL was there in college.

Of course i want the Browns to win but Mariota is for real.

Will anyone step up? Does it matter? Who is the starting QB?

We have no offensive play makers. We don't appear to have any ability to rush the passer. We don't appear to have any ability to stop the run.

Mariota can run if pressured. But more importantly, it looks like they are setting him to avoid pressure using quick stuff. The Browns need to be in the faces of all receivers to take this away early or it's going to be a long day.

I don't think the Browns are the Buccaneers, but they aren't much better.

The real thing everyone wants to see is this: EFFORT. If this team doesn't come out swinging for the HOME OPENER after last week's debacle, I really don't see how anyone can continue to throw their money away in support of this team.

I still don't see how the Browns keep up with the Titans offensively.

Finally a reasonable prediction post.

I think its a little closer if JFF is the starter with the week of prep, pretty much same as last week if pettine goes back to mccown who hasn't practice..

Just need a better effort, if its no better than last week effort wise, I want this coaching staff to go away

I know a lot of people are in the "stats are for losers" camp - but the fact still remains that the Browns had more yards against a very good defense than Tennessee had against a not so good defense. We also had 5 turnovers, which presumably resulted in fewer yards than without.

As well, comparing the Jets to Tennessee, I give the nod to the Jets at WR, OL, and RB on offense, with a slight edge to Tenn on TE and QB is too soon to know. On D, I give the nod to Jets for every position. Special team's I'll call a draw and coaching I give to Tenn.

On the flip side, comparing the Browns to TB, I give the Browns the nod on OL with draws at TE and QB as both are too soon to know. TB gets the nod on RB and WR. On D, I give the nod to the Browns on DL, LBs, and Safety with a draw at CB. Special teams goes to the Browns.

This to me equates to a better performance by the Browns on all three aspects of the game and a poorer performance for Ten.

I know it's an "Any Given Sunday" league but I don't see how where we show that much differently than we did vs. the Jets. Johnny is still going to make mistakes, Haden is still going to be shaking off some rust, Dansby will still be limping around and we'll still have absolutely no one on offense that is worth paying attention to.

Well according to my current Franchise on Madden 16..

We will beat Tennessee 21-18 when Manziel throws a last minute Touchdown to Josh Gor... Uh.. Dwayne Bowe? Sure lets go with that..

Also, just so everyone knows..

Next week we wear Orange Jerseys with Brown pants, and it doesn't look that bad, however we lose to Oakland when Crabtree catches a deep touchdown late because my controller wouldn't let me intercept the ball..

All of this is true.

You forgot to mention how the Browns always seem to let win less teams and Rookies shine against us....

One thing why I thought we would win... Is jm.. is (was) am competitor and new how to win at one time...

You would have to think getting a win has got to be eating at him...

When I just played Tennessee they beat us 23-17 after Kendall Wright broke free from our secondary with 3 minutes left.

So we can expect us to either win or lose tomorrow.

well I ran it thru my matrix ( the same one that showed a 19 point win last week, LOL) and it indicates an 11 point loss so in keeping with how well my matrix works
