That's the only thing I have agreed with him on for this whole game. As the underdog, you can't put yourself in a position where it could end up worse. His insistence on NIU going for it a couple of times could have resulted in a blow out...

At least our defense is really good. I'm hoping the O can come around.

this has been a brutal day for our offense. they have to figure stuff out before we play a capable team

This isn't last year EVERYONE IS GUNNING FOR YOU! You are going to get the best shot from every team. Our offense has a lot to work on.

Turnovers were a problem last year too, but not this bad.

Why are we snapping the ball with so much time left on the play clock?!?

Defense is national championship caliber.


The offense is division 2 high school level

This is why I believe they were doing all this different play calling.Can't always rely on one player to win the game... Elliot got 100 yds and he also got stuffed.

Meyer has to realize he he has a real problem on O starting with his OC ! O State is not number 1 ..

That is why I brought up the loss of Tom Herman above. I think we are missing him a lot.

This season is reminding me of Florida State last year - barely squeaking by.

Urban said we're a physical smash mouth and play action team. Sure as hell didn't call a game plan like it.

Trying ? For most fans it scared the hell out of them.

Pretty awful offense. Like I said before the season, this team is really good. They're so talented. But repeating is insanely hard. They've gotten the best from their opponents in three straight weeks.

On the flip side, think where this team was a year ago today. Still reeling from the Virginia Tech loss, and not even a thought in the playoff conversation. They have lots of time to get better.

now we get to go up to the Browns game tomorrow...

If he keeps playing like that, every team will be able to sign him after the draft (although Logan Thomas got drafted).

JT Barrett was always the best option.

I just watched the game on DVR..a few things jumped out:

1. Our QB's obviously were not accurate and also not seeing the entire field..I was wondering why Cardale was starting and was griping that JT should start..now I see why if we are going to pass..
2. NIU seemed to match us generally in team speed...this was odd to me. We didn't seem to have any receivers wide open all day and there was time for separation
3. If the left side of our line is future NFL players...why don't we run to that side.
4. Why do our QB's fake the run up the middle then hand off to the RB to the same whole? The LB's already committed??
5. The entire O seems uninspired...this was the same as last week - it seems very bland..
6. Are we a running team or passing team? We still seem to lack an identity
7. NIU did a good job clogging up the middle so why were our receivers not open in the middle of the field?

Finally, NIU really came at us and almost pulled it off...as other have mentioned - we have a bulls-eye on our backs and everyone will be gunning.. good thing we still have time

2nd: Braxton Miller
3rd: JT Barrett
