Johnny is a promising rookie to be sure.
Definitely need to work on the run D.
Absolutely MVP and game ball to Benjamin!

even if Johnny doesn't win another game there is NO reason to play McCown. He's not the future, we need to see if Johnny is. This coming from a non JM fan

All phases contributed.

Johnny looked really good at times, and not as good at others. Ball security is still a concern. However, his growth is really evident. That 2nd TD pass to Benjamin was really special. He didn't panic, he moved appropriately, he set up, and he was right on target. Really special play.

Emotions running high. I'm rejuvenated!

Love to see Manziel get that final TD for his confidence.

Defense played great.

Nice to see pressure on the QB and sacks.

Great team win!

Oh, Bowe can pack his bags. He's a waste of a roster spot.

Hartline can't seem to get separation.

Running game helped today.

Pumped for the Browns!

Bengi gets the MVP for this game for sure.

As a whole, the entire team played pretty damn well.

O and D and ST.

I don't think anyone can complain about the play calling or the plan on O and certainly, the D decided to come out to play today. Can't find a think wrong with ST's either.

The bright spots are just too dang many to talk about.

On the negative side, Johnny has to hang onto the ball better. I didn't like that Fumble.

Speaking of Johnny Manziel, he had control today. he did a solid job, very solid. no panic, no running for his life.

I got a little worried when they reached 14 points to our 21.. But stopping them and then coming back to score again, WHEW.

Very nice. Hope they can build on it.

Edit: How can I forget to mention 7 sacks.. WOW

The players came out on fire. The coaches put them in good positions to make plays. The players executed. Yes, it's only one game. But it IS a win! Are there things to work on? Sure.

Let's see if the Browns can build some momentum before the schedule difficulty goes up.

And Dwayne Bowe, well, you have a hell of an agent. I'm not sure what the Browns saw in you but you getting on the field should pretty much be in garbage time...if at all.

Nice job today Browns. Work hard this week.

Nice win in a game I thought we should win. Johnny gives me hope where I had none. Lets hope Pet runs with him from here on out.

How bout Benji guy is in year 2 after ACL and is just lighting it up. There's your number one guys and he has blown the lid off 2 weeks running.

I felt Johnny was the best deep ball passer i had seen since big ben coming out and I am glad to see that aspect showing up. Those 2 deepballs were picture perfect. I didnt think the playcalling really contributed to any type of momentum as we really just went run run pass to eat up clock. The last play was johnny football at his finest.

Benji was beasting. I saw him keep moving and keep the play alive, he and Johnny has a rhythm. He also had the best return i have seen since cribbs vrs the steelers. Awesome return.

I saw Bowe make a business decision going across the middle. He doesnt want to play the game anymore. We screwed up paying him that much up front, cut the losses and ship his ass. promote jennings, bring back pryor or lenz but get this guy out of the water before he pallutes the pool.

I thought the OL and the backs played really well but Mack is the exception to the rule. He just isnt back doesnt have any power left. I dont know if he is done for or not but he really isnt close to what he was before the injury.

Armonty Bryant finally is showing to be what many of us have hoped he could become. 3 sacks and was just a force today.

Craig Robertson was everywhere as well. Nice to see the secondary stepping it up also.

Krguer worries me.

Can't wait to see Johnny start next week against the Raiders. You have to rid the hot hand and the momentum right now. If McCown starts, as soon as he makes mistakes, it's over for him. It sounds fickle but I could imagine that happening.

Defense played well most of the game but it was against a rookie qb who looked very off today

Special teams was solid - huge punt return at end of first half

Running game was good overall - two very capable backs

Johnny looks much improved from last year - I like that he looks downfield more... Some huge plays/flashes today... Still needs to get a little more consistent and needs to clean up the fumbles

I was very happy, but frustrated come the 2nd half. Our offense had trouble getting drives rolling, we seemed to start losing the battle of the trenches, and we were stuck punting the ball over and over.

Then the defense came out and completely got dominated. Sometimes shooting themselves in the foot. Like 3rd and 13 and Desmond Bryant gets a hands to the face penalty. How bone headed can one get? I was furious.

That and on that same drive, Mingo, on third down is going after Mariota, and he takes the worst angle ever to the ball. I think Mingo will show himself to be another Wimbley. Not much in the pass rush department, can't set an edge, athletic enough to have a spot on teams, but he will never be a star, or even above average starter.

There is no way McCown doesn't start next week.

A couple posters earlier mentioned Bowe. On one throw to him , I think in the 3rd or 4th quarter, did it seem like he made little effort for it & I swear the ball hit his forearm and he maybe alligator armed it. I know Vers had mentioned this from his days in KC. Unfortunately I was in the room where my TV does not have DVR & there was not replay. I thought the pass was decent but he gave little effort. Anyone see this better?

Its hard to say who we start at this point. Johnny was perfect on the first two drives to get the 14 pt lead then benji got the big return and after that we just went into a shell with the most conservative approach ever.

I just dont think you bench Johnny right now but Pet may.

I didn't see the game, but followed it on the net and saw the highlights.
Travis Effing Benjamin!! Love this guy!Seven sacks, awesome.
Johnny's second TD was a beautiful play/throw. Johnny was good and not-so-good but he is electrifying, he's a playmaker!

I keep waffling on whether JFF should start next week, but the next several days will be a little sweeter. Huge win, let's keep it rolling.

I think having seen JFF improve each game you just play him..He's not going to learn anything watching a below average journeyman for 2 quarters until he's hurt again. Just give him the live reps..see what you got...its pretty simple. This is the perfect scenario..everyone is healthy, you can plan JFF because you want to, not out of necessity due to injury.

General comments about the game, Defense played better, much better pressure. Still suck against the run and we currently don't have anyone that can set an edge, it was open all game. Whitner still sucks. Armonty Bryant is an absolute steal. I really like the starks pickup as well.

On offense, a lot better rhythm today. But i still think our oline is below average in the run game.. I'd almost consider trying erving at Center...we can't run anywhere around mack.

The backs ran hard today even without many holes..that TD from crow was pretty..he's pretty good at gettingt he tough yards. I think Defilipo is holding the offense back, you have some crazy fast wr and d. johnson, and we did nothing to try to get them the ball in space. Plays like that throw to barnidge, that goes to a johnson, hawkins or benji...thats a much bigger play.

Hard to find alot wrong with a win. I'm glad they didn't get down and came out and smacked TN in the mouth. I think they can do the same thing with raiders team next week. Which is why I'm hoping they stay with JFF..build confidence and continuity on offense. A confident JFF will be a JFF that we will love watching.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

Travis Benjamin's progression as an all around player is quite commendable.

Rewind 4 years ago ... he was a question mark in all regards.

Now he's our best playmaker

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Awesome win. So much fun to watch.

I'm not going to bury the coaching staff for going ultra conservative in the the second half. You have a 21 point lead at home against a rookie QB, when you yourself have a very young QB. It was ugly and you want to run the ball a lot better than you did, and Johnny fumbled twice (again).

People want Johnny to stay in the pocket and make a play, but it's tough when pressure is coming from behind, and nobody is open. He's just going to have to learn. Outside of that Manziel played really good. He's got a long way to go, and he's developing, but today was so promising.

I thought after Tennesse got it to within 7, that the Browns first few plays from scrimmage were HUGE. It will go unnoticed because of the TD pass from Johnny to Benji, but they ran the ball with success when Tennessee knew it was coming. That's a really good sign. I asked for growth last week, and we saw some right there.

Defensively, we did pretty good. B+, maybe even an A-. Good pressure, pretty decent against the run outside of that big McCluster play in the first half.

Travis Benjamin was incredible. The Browns are probably going to have to adjust because I think teams are going to see that and probably add a safety or a nickel, so this team running the ball will probably become even more important.

Man it would be so nice to see Johnny improve more and more every week. I understand the thought of starting McCown if he's ready, because you prepared the entire summer for McCown to start, but I think they will stick with Johnny this week. But just realize tough times are ahead. He's a young QB, and I just worry about what he can do in the division. Either way, I think both quarterbacks will handle it like men, unlike past quarterbacks who were complete babies about the situation. McCown will be right behind Johnny supporting him if he gets the start, just as Johnny will for him if vice versa.

I was impressed with Mariota. To bounce back after an awful half is impressive. If Johnny doesn't hit Benji for that TD, who knows? He's going to be good. He will have his ups and downs, but I believe he can be really good in this league.

Terrence West? lol.

Ken Whisenhunt is not HC material. He's a really good OC who's so good with QB's but I think he has too much on his plate. I don't know what he was thinking before the half today.

I'm excited for this team. They earned it today. Can't wait for next weekend.

Post game thought I haven't seen anyone mention.

For as short as he is I can't recall the last time Manziel's had a ball batted down.

Didn't Weeden usually have two to three a game?

Manziel is an awesome deep ball passer.

Would like to see work on the intermediate game. Would be interesting to see the All-22 and if there was anything open in the intermediate game.

He doesn't look out of place anymore. Continued progress.

This would be great if he can be the guy.

To be able to go into the FA period and the draft knowing we are happy with our QB situation would be so HUGE. Can maybe go get ourselves a primo pass rusher and a #1 receiver. Talk about being able to take a few steps forward.

Saw he fumbled twice. Did we recover one?

Weeden has some qwirk that people knew to look for when he would wind up, that's the only thing I can think of.

I'm a little worried about Mack, He was getting thrown around.

We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

Both recovered by us. They were nearly identical plays. Similar to one of his fumbles last week. You know teams are going to take a long hard look at that. He's going to have to learn that move that Brady is so good at, when you're right in the middle of the pocket with nowhere to go and no one open and you just throw it at the feet of a WR since you can't just throw it out of bounds. Live to fight another day.

JF still shows he can't take a hit without coughing up the ball. That alone is why I don't think, despite the many good things he did, will get the call next call after Josh clears protocol.

Travis Benjamin, just wow... he's killing it as a returner and he's killing it as a WR.

Total pressure on Marcus for the majority part of the game. He took some serious abuse today.

Better game by Joe Haden. Secondary played good I thought.

Crow and Duke looked good running. There was some holes, but there was some nice second effort and etc there too!

All and all, good all around game! Let's win many more!

Super pleased with the win! I thought the problem with the second half was that we were running too much. Only threw it when we had to. It was very predictable and we needed to mix it up more.

How big is Mariota again? Dude coughed up the ball a few times as well.

In the NFL you just simply can't allow your QB to get hit from behind. Part of that is on Johnny, and part on the blockers to just be better. Like I said, on his two fumbles today I thought it was a bit too long holding on to the ball, and he should have chucked it at the feet of a WR or a back.
