If I were Irsay I would fire Grigson before I fired Pagano. He has wasted Luck's cheap contract years by surrounding him with subpar talent.

If Pagano gets fired, how many people will be lining up for that coaching job?

The Gore fumble was horrendous. Indy's front office is really a joke. How many free agent and etc failures have they signed? Why do they refuse to bring in offensive linemen? Their oline sucks.

Seems like I could go on and on. They were blessed with Luck but fail to do anything with, pretty much, a once in a lifetime player.

It's a little bit tougher to fire him than any other coach, but I think enough time has passed where Irsay could let him go after this year and just say "we'll continue to support him however we can."

There have already been rumors about this being Pagano's last year with the Colts. If that job becomes available, expect all of the big names that have been out of the league to come calling for it (Gruden, Dungy, etc.).

I wonder if Harbaugh wishes he would have put off going to Michigan for one year. He probably could have coached for his former team and his former QB.

Yeah never was impressed with Chuck, Arians was the superior coach, but because of the cancer and how that played out they stuck with chuck. But the Gm is a idiot as well..if you invest anywhere it should have been the line once you landed luck. If I'm luck, i say you have to the end of this contract to fix it or I'm gone. But alot of this has to do with Pagano and his horrible offense..you know your line sucks...as he even admitted...well adjust your protections to give them some help with double TE or something...its not like their TE are trash either

For the anti build through free agency critiques. Jets seem to have done a pretty good job building through free agency. It's no different than the draft, you've just gotta be smart about it.

As long as the defense is dominating and they aren't asking him to do too much, I don't see why it would wear off. He might be the next Trent Dilfer...

...and (God forbid)... isn't that the same formula the Browns are trying to work this year?

Sunday's game was pretty much what the staff described during the Summer: dominating, D, limit what's required of the QB (any QB), and manage field position for the win. Maybe the individual play calls would change depending on the QB, but the overall philosophy didn't. Seems to have worked pretty well for us.

Proof: even without Benji's electrifying PR, we still won 21-14.

As I said 500 posts up the Jets are legit. Our loss to them doesn't hurt as much. Poor Luck has a horrible OL. How does this roster compare to last years team that went to the AFC Championship game? Did they lose some key people? Otherwise, they may not win 5 games with the second best QB in the league.

Yeah I'm not sure why people hate on fitzpatrick, if we signed him, he would be the best QB we've had since return.. He's not bad in an offense that works for him..he completes 60%, throws more TD's than interceptions and has thrown for 20k yards...i'd like those numbers on this team

Fitzpatrick has always been known to make about half a dozen plays a game that were head scratching. Many times game losing plays.

He has familiarity with Chan and vise versa. That may help him.

I think the Jets running game is what will eventually end their season. They have power backs that don't really offer any versatility or explosiveness.

I agree, their Def is playing lights out, but Fitzpatrick has also been on the money with many passes. Something he has lacked until now, so I presume this is more a lucky streak for him than a new refined Fitz.

Could be a bit of both... it's amazing how much better a QB (or any athlete really) can be when the pressure is off, when they realize they don't have to do it all by themselves, etc..

That's what makes the Peyton Mannings and the LeBron James and the Michael Jordans of the world so special, even with all of the pressure, even knowing there is little margin for error, they still produce, not a lot of guys can do that.
