LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday.
The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.
Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.
Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.
Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.
The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail this month for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5.
A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, declined to comment.
Jessica looks all fake and plastic. Paris is too skinny but more "real" looking.
They're both dumb but I'd figure Paris is smarter (and more a primadonna).

Why can't we all just be happy for her? Just because she has a ton of money, is on T.V. way more than any one person ever could/should be and has a lot of connections because of her family doesn't mean she used it to get off the hook. People felt sorry for her and her "special needs" really.

G4TV is the channel. Video game and technology shows along with some pop culture and other stuff. There are even more than those three on there. The girl from Lost..Evangeline Lilly was on that channel before she got her break.
Meh....that girl doesn't do much for me. I've watched her show, Cheat, a few times and I found myself turning the channel out of boredom (the material and her). She's nice....but no curves.
I can watch Attack of the Show on mute.

That's the problem - take her money away (actually, grandpa's money) and she's a nothing. No skills, no great looks (chest/rear - she just doesn't have it), without the money backing her up, she's nothing but a "cute" fastfood rest. worker the rest of her life.
Jessica, at least, can sing - she's got no skills other than that - and actually that could be questioned - but with her looks, and her singing, she's made a name for herself with what she can do. At least Jessica is working with her abilities. Paris? Drop the last name Hilton, make it "Doe", and she's a nothing.
First......women don't have to be big breasted and have big badonkie-donks to be good looking. Paris is attractive enough.
I also suspect she would have honed a few more skills had she not been heiress to the Hilton fortune. She is just doing all her parents really demanded of her.
Had I been in line for about 50mil, I might not have pressed as hard as I have in life....hell...I know I wouldn't have. Everybody isn't driven to achieve. Some just want to take what life gives....and when life hands you a mountain of money, things can go the way they have for her.
As to her reduced time...that isn't that uncommon....nothing that many others have received....and like it or not, she would be a target in the general population of the workhouse and should be sequestered into a more private, secure portion of the facility. Her fame shouldn't subject her to anything above and beyond serving her time.
I don't care who it is, people shouldn't be subjected to harm and ridicule. No matter who they are are what they did.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

I agree, as to her reduced time - actually, I'm surprised she got time. Being sequestered in a more private, secure area? Heavens yes - she's famous - she should not be put in with the type of people that may be interested in harming her. I agree with all of that.
As far as her "life amitions", I just laugh. As you said, you don't have to have the badonka donk, or the huge breasts to be good looking, and I agree with that. But here, try this on: she's decent enough looking - not good, in my opinion (and that's all any of us have, is opinions), but without her grandpa's money, she's just another fish in the sea. Now, while you or I, in a similar situation, would probably realize that, she has not - she has no comprehension of it. She constantly belittles the "lesser" people, and "lesser" people to her is people like you, me, and 98% of the u.s.
I have no respect for her, based solely on the fact that she has no respect for anyone else, unless they have more money than her, or unless they give her money. Call me crazy, I just don't respect people like that, and I would go out of my way to avoid her, and her kind.
I don't really like the chick....if she was my daughter, she wouldn't get crap from me other than a card at Christmas and her Birthday so she still knew I loved her even if I was disappointed in her.
You don't have to respect her....I don't....but I respect her rights just as i would respect the rights of a guy like Jeffery Dhammer or some street pusher.

Granted, and good thing, too. But I don't think you'll find a post by me begrudging her of her rights. I have not done that. I have touched on the fact that she has nothing going for her but grandpa's money - that's about it. Well, and the fact that I personally don't find her attractive in the least, but that's just personal opinion.
