So, the winner will be the team with the most walking wounded??
Is that their entire starting OLine, or something??

Wow, so the Chargers have three starting OL out and another dinged up?
We have to win this game.

We have to win this game. one would think we could get some pressure right? I say no. Rivers, pretty much, only throws short passes. This tendency will only increase now that his offensive line is in flux. I say one or two pressures only.

You may be right, but one would think we should be able to blow up their running game, maybe??

We have to win this game. one would think we could get some pressure right? I have yet to understand why a team would bother attempting a single pass against our D. We can't stop the run at all. If I'm the SD offensive coordinator, I run the ball every down until a punt is forced. Why pass?

I'd say that we start off going Man on the outside and stack the box, crash the lines/gaps and try to get to him - HARD. ILB's need to be watching for TE's dragging, OLB's looking for RB's as the dumpoff. They will be trying to maximize the short game and spreading us out, especially with our weaknesses in the run at the edges.
If they're running 60-80% backups on their OLine, we should be able to utterly abuse them before Rivers even has a chance to make plays.
We should be able to pressure him on nearly every play, and get a hit on him on at least 25% of the plays. That sort of relentless pressure will eat him up.

Rivers is one of the best QBs in the league pre-snap. I think we get no pressure no matter what we do.

If we can't get pressure on 4/5 2nd String Oline than we should just stop trying..

How many go on the INACTIVE List...we got 5 Out so those are no brainers. I'm thinking Droughns will be 6.
I'd like to see Gilbert step up cause he's finally (almost) healthy at Probable. Gipson will play I'm sure. Got a wedding in Vermont. Want that breakfast on Sunday and then get my butt home before 4! Hopefully the good D shows up.
Again that is the key.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

53 man roster, 45 dress for gameday. If Draughn can't play we only have two active running backs.

I said that about Marshall. Haden got owned. I figured he'd have some trouble with Cooper. Haden got owned. Basically, like against Tennessee, unless we can get pressure on the QB, our DBs will struggle..

Basically, like against Tennessee, unless we can get pressure on the QB, our DBs will struggle.. Marshall is a giant. Cooper might already be one of the top ten receivers in the league. (These are both excuses.) History shows that Haden will bounce back (eventually). Last year we did not pressure the QB very much and we had a great pass defense. That is not sustainable, but it can be done.

If Shelton doesn't have a field day blowing up their interior, he should just hang it up, lol!
Our DL has got to be feeling like a wrecking ball... and not the Miley Cyrus kind that licks things in their underwear, because that's just disturbing. NO! The real kind, the kind that actually wrecks things... and stuff.
Seriously though.... this SHOULD look a LOT like our preseason game against Tampa Bay. And while I don't wish injury on anyone, realistically, they should probably end up losing at least one more lineman this week just from being completely and utterly overmatched.

So with their injuries I don't think picking the Chargers in my survivor pool is a sure thing anymore ... it'll probably be a close game
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

He has been sacked. Just pummel him and knock him down. We have some stuff to prove. Dumb it down and overload it early. Run blitz for a change.
