He's seeing limited snaps with Soloman injured.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

brown to the bone...I hear ya and I can't blame anyone for speaking their peace, giving their opinion.
BUT, IMO, it might be a bit too soon to form conclusions based on just 3 or 4 games. Let us not forget, the Browns 2014 record after 3 games was 1-2, exactly what our record is today. If the Browns win today their record will be exactly what the team's record was after 4 games last season.
Speaking for myself, it's still too soon "for me" to make any conclusions about the direction of the team, based on the team's current record.
I will say this though...after today, the Browns schedule gets much tougher and remains tough the rest of the season.
If this team does not improve upon it's 7-9 record, those who made the changes to that 7-9 team, should be held accountable for the so called, improvements they attempted to make in 2015.
Today is a must win for the Browns, imo...
Of course your right Mac it is to soon but I see a team getting their teeth kicked in and I see very little spark. Again I knew it was going to be like this, it always is when you tank. But I should and will wait. I will accept that the plan is to tank and thank them for it next year. Right NOW I hate losing but I know its for a reason, yet I still hate it.

Tell me about this plan to tank. rish...looking at the remaining schedule, if this team doesn't start playing like they did last season, it would not be an intentional tank if they only win a couple games.

Doesn't the word "tank" imply intentional?

Yes, I am. And I'll give you one (there's more but...) prime example - Mingo.'Nuff said... Yet in two FA periods and two NFL drafts under this regime, he's still on the field. Nouff said? As a rotational player, not a starter (except through injury). Please correct me if I'm erring...

Just shut up. So sick of the crap that you guys spew. You are picking only on Mingo, yet ignore the fact that Giblert, Johnny, and Erving aren't even playing and that Shelton is not playing well.
Your bias, along w/the rest of the mob, is sickening. You guys make this place intolerable.

Of course it does, but you guys haven't respected that. I am so freaking sick of the crap that you guys spew. Constantly making fun of people just because they have an opposing view. And no matter how many freaking times you are proven wrong.......you never stop.
Tired of it. I don't like you guys. I think you guys ruin way too many conversations w/your gang mentality that constantly makes fun of people who don't support your ideas. You guys are the antithesis of good debate.
I'm mad the Browns lost again and I have been sick of reading the crap on here. Hence, the rant.

bbrown strikes me as one of the nicest guys on this board. He's been trying to diffuse the situation that you created all night and you keep coming hard at him. Being optimistic or pessimistic is a choice. He's choosing the opposite of you. That doesn't mean you should treat him like you are. I think you're in the wrong here.

That's fine.
Like I said.........I am pretty much done w/the prevailing attitudes of this board.
Btw------my reactions tonight are not based so much on tonight's answers, but based upon the ridicule some of these guys have given a few of us for months. Not a day. Not a week. Months. Shoot, some of them have been doing it for years. I'm tired of it.
They act like we are so stupid. And every freaking year we suck. So, what do they do.......the next year, they act like we so freaking stupid again.
Wash, rinse, repeat. Look at that crap on the Austin thread. I really thought I made a post that would spark very good conversation. I get one guy telling me I am foolish to think that Farmer isn't communicating w/the team. Another guy who says I am foolish for thinking that he is. I got another guy completely missing my point and talking about the qualifications about the subordinates in the FO and then another guy who says that poster is being logical.
Tired of the nonsense, bias, and lack of logic.

When Manziel gives the coach reason to support him, the coaches will support Manziel. He doesn't need to play in a game for that... they do touch footballs on the other days of the week. But they don't touch QBs... Manziel's greatest strength at this point is moving around and improvising, he has made some nice throws from in the pocket, but most of his nice throws have come from outside the pocket... it doesn't surprise me in the least that he can't look as good as McCown in practice with the "don't touch me" jersey on, standing there throwing with no threat of being hit. McCown looked like a statue last week, standing in there as the pocket collapsed around him until he threw an off-balance, often off target, pass... Please read your own quote, but with a detached perspective, as if it were somebody else saying this about some other player. It is saying that in a controlled setting where there is nothing else to worry about other than the offense, the one player can't look as good as the other because doing that sort of thing (a.k.a. running the base offense) isn't his thing. Please think about that for a second. If that player can't do that much, then ALL he can do is the improvisational stuff. That's just not enough to be able to count on. That's a FANTASTIC value-add, but it isn't what you build around and count on. That's actually not what I was saying... I was saying that McCown is going to look at little better in the pocket, what would separate Manziel is his ability to improvise... and on a team that doesn't protect all that well and doesn't run all that well, improvising makes the difference. All kind of moot today, McCown looked pretty good, did enough to win... hard to imagine Manziel would have put up more than 27 points or generated any more offense...

Thanks for the kind words, Rish', but I don't try to be nice - I try to be respectful. We all are passionate to a greater or lesser degree and we want to win, but oft-times we view the same event from opposite sides of the street. While some may see a problem, others see opportunities. We simply disagree on where we are today and the potential for the future...

Pettine noted that he and his coaching staff employ an "open-door policy" for any player with questions about the depth chart.
That policy is what is voiced to the guys in bullcrap meetings, but the reality is different...

How so? if thats a real question... maybe when pettine said players make poor GMs? or when pettine said ""Are we going to have 1000 percent agreement on how we're using players and how we're doing that? Are they going to have opinions? Certainly. But it falls into coaches coach and players go out, they have their jobs to do.'" sure sounds like he doesnt take the opinions of the players to high does it?
