Done. Can't watch McCown lead another loss. No Manziel no me. This team is in shambles and rudderless.

If we lose to the Ravens next week I hope Haslam fires him the next day. The Ravens game might be our only win the rest of the way..... We sure as hell won't beat a good team. We won't beat an average team.

If? If you can't stop Woodhead, Forsett gets 120 easily.

If the Chargers were healthy I'd agree. But we lost to a team without their starting LEFT TACKLE, left guard and CENTER. Think about how bad the Browns would look if that happened....

I believe we ended with TWO sacks. Against a team without those players? Pathetic.

It's mind boggling that this defense is this bad. I would have fired Farmer last week. As far as Pettine I think we're suck because a good coach won't come here.

Congratulations to our 2016 NBA Champion CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!! Greatest comeback in sports history... Hail to the King!

If we can't run the ball at all and Flip insists on calling 45+ passes a game, and if our D can only get two sacks when 3/5ths of their line is gone? QB is the least of our worries. Joe Montana couldn't win consistently with this team.

Agreed. I don't care how much money you throw at someone. Dignity of some of these previously accomplished types is worth something. Why would they come to a team where dignity, pride and winning desire and culture are so completely lacking?

Sure they would. All it takes is money. A LOT of money. Happily our owner has more than enough. Happily there is no salary cap on coaching staffs. Unhappily our owner seems oblivious to these things....

That's my thing.

There is no plan.

Unless the plan is to lose by playing a 36 year old journeyman, perennial loser QB.

Come to think of it, if that's the plan, they are nailing it.

Haslam could offer millions and millions of reasons.... no cap on coaching staff.

The way this D played today, would Manziiel have made a difference?

Yeah. Lets reward Pettines coaching with a long term extension. I want to see 10 more years exactly like this.

I mean...REALLY?

Lead to another loss? Did you watch the game or did you just run out of fresh air for your brain?

Agreed. Let's play for the future. (Know we've been doing that for some time now). What do we have in Manziel? We absolutely NEED to know prior to the draft. Maybe they already think they know. Then the reason for playing McCown is irrelevant.

Not saying that, but when you fire coaches after 2 seasons or less, don't be surprised when nobody wants to step up and coach your team. You're either going to get take-the-money-and-run mercenaries or desperate-for-an-HC-job like Pettine type guys.

That's what I'm saying, you're never going to get that. Why would a great college coach want to leave a cushy situation in college to coach the mess that the Browns are, knowing full-well that if you don't get the team turned around in a year, people will be calling for your head.

Guess what guys... there's only 32 of these jobs and only 5-10 of them available in any given year. A hand full of qualified guys in the entire world will turn down a HC job and another small hand full will have team choices for 1 or 2 years but you have to know that probably over 90% of qualified people will jump at a chance for just about any well paid HC job. I'll never buy the logic that you can't find good people for the Browns. The picker is broken, not the cheese.

I think we already know. We need to draft a franchise QB in next years draft. If Johnny can play it doesn't mean he can stay healthy doing so.... and we don't know if he can play. Won't matter much if we don't hire a staff that knows how to use a franchise QB. That knows how to run a DEFENSE. Pettine was supposed to be a defensive coach. Well, our D SUCKS.

Well, what can I say. This will be my first and last post. I am 33 years old and after watching the team for the past 4 weeks. This has to be the worst team I have seen in years. I say this because all off season long I read articles on how our defense was elite. The stats even said it was, but deep down I knew it was fluff.

What I am getting at here is every year this defense is supposed to be the back bone of this team. Every year it gets killed in the run game or destroyed by the pass. Our number one corner decides to play about midway through the season to make pad his stats.

This team is just horrible and after growing up watching this team, I will no longer watch anymore of these games. I am moving on, just wanted to say thanks for the memories Cleveland Browns. I just can't support a losing team this year. This will be the last game I watch for the rest of the year.

I almost bought sunday ticket just to watch this team every sunday. Sorry for the rant, but maybe the owner of this team will actually give a darn about this team one day and I can enjoy a winning, competitive team for once.

Sorry guys........off my soap box

I'd love Brian Billick for the job. Guy always had the Ravens playing good football. Most years they were in the playoffs.

Heart attack why? They haven't been good enough for that or given you a reason to even give a crap.

Have always disliked Billick but not because of his coaching. I've heard a lot of players and coaches hated the guy. But, desperate times breed desperate measures....

I would mostly agree with your point and add one thing that has changed - the need to immediately win. you used to get 3-5 years to build something and now you get 2 if you are lucky. Unless you have a roster with talent, college coaches would not want to come up, imo.

I say stay the course. This team battled today and it's just a matter of time before we start to win. The D just needs to gel that's all.

If by gel you mean all chip in for a bathtub of HGH then yes, they need to gel. Because they are soooooffffft as downy.

It's only those handful of qualified guys that turn down jobs that could turn a team like the Browns around in a year. Those 90% of other people are your Chuds, Shurmur's, Manginis, etc. None of those "great mind" coaches are going to take a chance on coaching the Browns when there's 4-9 other jobs in the NFL they can take that will probably give them more time and better starting assets.

The BIGGEST reason we lost this game is because we didn't involve Dwayne Bowe more. He is just chomping at the bit to play and contribute and they won't let him. What a waste of top shelf talent.!!!

Really hope your being sarcastic there. The only times I saw Bowe on the field he was lazy and running piss poor routes............glad they yanked the free loader off the field. I hope they wake up and cut him.
