I thought the Browns were going all orange for their Monday night game against the Ravens.
Yes, by all means, because we need to cement the perception that we are the Clown-Car Franchise of the NFL by wearing the worst possible uniform combination in front of a nationally televised audience. Excellent!
Still better than
Or having to wear any of these
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
Anderson. I remember him saying to the Ravens player being interviewed on the field after the game was thought to be over and saying to him, "we're going to overtime!"
It was the last exciting Browns season. I was going absolutely bonkers when they overturned Dawson's FG to good. Ahh, the good times.
If we can get Dwayne Bowe heavily involved in this game we can pull out a win. He is our big weapon and once he gets going there's no telling how far this O can go.!!!

Absolutely!! Can't wait for Josh Gordon to come back next year. We have Dwayne to mentor him. Just the thought of having those 2 guys on the field together has me salivating.

LOL yeah right. Gordon will be gone again before you can see the blue smoke

Was it Harbaugh that said play the Browns conservatively, they'll eventually give the game away ...or something to that affect?
It was our current RB coach, Wilbert Montgomery, who made the statement while he was with the Ravens. What he basically said was something very similar to, 'if we play the game close enough, they [Browns] will find a way to lose at the end'.
And it's the rock solid and dire truth... penalty, fumble or something else you can almost bank on it happening.
Remember back in 2003 when Jamal Lewis racked up 500 total rushing yards against us? After that second game he was asked about his slow start and replied "I knew they would wear down eventually, they always do".
Most teams don't have to do anything special to beat the Browns. It's another bye week with a notch in the Win column.
What a freakin embarrassment this team is. It surely doesn't deserve it's fans that's for sure!

That was awesome and still is...
What was even more awesome was Cribbs's return to set that up. There was only like 30 seconds left on the clock, and he busted through half the Ravens coverage team, and dove for a few extra yards. A quick pass to KW2, and the rest was history. Too bad it amounted to nothing in the end. I'm still mad about the no call on the force out of KW2 against Arizona.
Just looked at the play by play, it wasn't KW2, it was a pass to Joe Jurevicious and Braylon Edwards.
Cleveland Browns at 00:26 3-M.Stover kicks 66 yards from BAL 30 to CLE 4. 16-J.Cribbs to CLE 43 for 39 yards (28-J.Winborne). 1-10-CLE 43 (:26) 3-D.Anderson pass short right to 84-J.Jurevicius ran ob at CLE 49 for 6 yards.
2-4-CLE 49 (:11) (Shotgun) 3-D.Anderson pass deep middle to 17-B.Edwards to BAL 33 for 18 yards (21-C.McAlister).
Timeout #1 by CLE at 00:03. 1-10-BAL 33 (:03) (Field Goal formation) 4-P.Dawson 51 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-64-R.Pontbriand, Holder-15-D.Zastudil. Ball hit goal post support beyond cross bar and bounced back.
That was how it was all that season, though. DA keep getting lucky with Edwards, and especially KW2, catching everything thrown their way.
I think we'll play well. It'll be a competitive game. Should come down to a few key plays and decisions, and quite frankly as a Browns fan that scares me.
Are all the Browns-killing Ravens finally gone? I mean aside from Flacco, there is no more Ed Reed, no more Ngata, Steve Smith is not playing. I guess Suggs is still around.
We haven't won in Baltimore since the infamous Dawson field goal game (we got overtime boys!)
You would really think if there was a time to get them in their building t would be Sunday. I just worry that this Browns team is good enough to hang around with everyone, but too bland to really take control of a game. This offense would actually be quite fitting with a good defense. But with a horrible defense, it's going to lead to more games like Sunday.
I'm actually excited to see if Duke Johnson can build off of a pretty good game against the Chargers. The rushing stats weren't there, but he was great in the passing game. I want to see if Travis Benjamin can keep progressing as well.
There's been some growth with this offense, so if you're looking for positives, there are some there. It's just so demoralizing to see your defense which is supposed to be coming into its own, getting beat with simple plays, and killing themselves with penalties. There's no excuse for it. Having Phillip Rivers beat you in the 2 minute drill happens. The fact that it happened in 4 plays and about a minute of the game clock tells me there is something wrong with the scheme and play calling. No NFL defense, not even the bottom of the league, should get bent over like that. The stat that Grossi brought up about points given up inside 2 minutes of halves during the Pettine era is alarming.
I think that penalties don't cause teams to lose games, usually.
Not being a good enough, focused or determined enough team to win in spite of those penalties causes teams to lose. I think that in spite of being a most penalized team the Browns should still win, if they're the better team.
And the opponent causes you to have to commit penaties sometimes; but the best teams win anyway.
The Browns could use a win, who knows if they have any way to confuse the other team, or a way to play defense so they don't get beat on 3rd and long and such.
If they want respect, they'll have to pull some sort of trick to get a win, I guess. Then again. Blocking, tackling, running and catching aren't tricks.
If you were down 10 at the start of the 4th quarter, you could find a way to get a touchdown drive and a field goal drive in 1 whole quarter.
But if you could get a touchdown drive, and a field goal drive for every quarter you'd score 40 points a game. Can this Browns offense get four quarters of really, REally good effective drives.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

well not only do i think penalties keep you from scoring points but also help the other team score points.
being a browns fan is like taking your dog to vet every week to be put down...
They could if they get Dwayne Bowe involved. This guy is key for us. Once he is healthy and playing he will be a monster and a mentor for all our other skill players.
