Yea, that's one thing you can say this year... we can score points. Think of all the anemic, impotent offenses we've had in the last decade who couldn't get it done in the red zone. With everything else that's not working at least we put points on the board.

Even though he's a bonehead and holds the ball too long he really came through today, can't really hate on a guy with those kinds of numbers, but we have to run more. I think if we stuck with it the line would eventually figure it out

We were all wrong. The offense is good and the defense is crap. How is this for stats? Time of Possession - 39 / 29 Total yards - 505 / 377 Turnovers - 0 / 0 First Downs - 25 / 22 total Plays - 80 / 67 Honestly I thought it would be the other way around today so I admit in my lack of belief! YEAH!

Great win today. All the work Dwayne put in with Josh, the receivers and Coons really payed off.!!! This win is on him no doubt. Now we need him to work with the D and we will really have something.

Awesome win against a team we never beat. Offense was amazing and we won in spite of the defense which was awful again. They did get a stop finally when we needed it. We would be so much better on defense with some pro linebackers.
Congratulations to our 2016 NBA Champion CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!! Greatest comeback in sports history... Hail to the King!

Just a win is good. Against Baltimore? SO GOOD. I wish I could quantify the good this win may have done the team. Bring it, boys, BRING IT!!!

Props to DeFilippo. He called a great game. He's turning out to be a pretty good coach. McCown was awesome today. Barnidge was awesome today. Picked him up in fantasy and put him on my bench. Gabriel and Hawkins were awesome today. Johnson was awesome today. Crow was awesome today. Coons was awesome today. Defense sucks. Man does a win feel good. Feels like the week is going to be that much better.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

We won the game so hooray!
That being said McCown is a liability and need to limit the mental mistakes if we have any chance of beating the legit teams coming up in the next fwe weeks.

McCown is proving the Browns right in dumping Hoyer and keeping Manziel on the bench.....not just today either but has played well all year for the most part.
Barnidge is a better player than JC ever was.....much better all around TE
Our WRs are good enough between the 20's but we really need a big playmaking type WR for the red zone.
I still don't care for our RBs. I like DJ better, but neither make people miss and neither are big enough to move the pile. We get very little YAC with those guys would be my guess.
Flip is going to be good. I wish we ran more, but given how uneffective our run game is I get it. He really keeps the d guessing.
The defense is awful and didn't play well enough to win today. Lucky for us JM is playing like a pro bowler.
Most importantly is we WON!!!! About freaking time we beat the Ravens....feels good.

So actual thoughts:
this is mccowns 3rd straight game with 300+. he threw 457.
can't do that if our WR corp isn't getting open. i love our WR group, but i've said that since the beginning.
correct me if i'm wrong, but flip is calling long developing pass plays.
our WR are getting wide open, hawk and gabriel have been balling out, so maybe that's why mccown is holding it so long?
we use quick pass plays, but we use a TON of long developing passing patterns.
so the issue isn't the WR, it's mccown being more aware in the pocket and the OL holding their blocks just a tad longer. big reason we are allowing like 3 sacks a game.
but i enjoyed this win completely. don't have to go to class this week piss the hell off.

I agree Big Willie but don't forget we may have a better rb when Turbin is activated. he could be an ace in the hole.

ANY win against Baltimore is reason to smile.
Pettine is 1-1 against the Steelers, 1-2 against the Ravens, and 1-1 against the Bengals. A 3-4 divisional record isn't great, but it's A LOT better than we've had since '99.
Keep this group together.

Happy we won. Happy it was a win against Baltimore. Happy for McCown.
I have much more to say but very little positive, so will just be happy we won and let it go at that.

I like the way our passing game is set up. Throw short, let the quick guys make a guy miss in space. Then when we go deep, it's effective.
Defense has major holes where vets are sucking and young guys aren't good enough.
you had a good run Hank.

I have Crowell & Barnidge on one of my fantasy teams. 13 points from Crowell and 27 points from Barnidge! It's nice seeing McCown and the offense play well, and it's awesome seeing a division road win. With that said, our defense is god awful. I'm holding my breath every play they're on the field. My only real beef with how things are rolling right now? Start the pass happy attack early. McCown is playing out of his mind from the shotgun offense, why not start the game this way with a little no huddle "spread" attack like we've been doing. We don't need to be losing to be aggressive.

Let little Johnny sit on the bench and develop!
We have a keeper in Barnidge!

We were all wrong. The offense is good and the defense is crap. No, we were not all wrong!
You could see last week that the offense was beginning to click. It always takes a new QB in a new offense and a new offense working with a new OC...it takes time to gel.
Now the defense, few changes and they went into the tank..still can't figure out what happened to this defense...but maybe they are just starting to come around for reasons that are not apparent to us.

The defense will eventually regress to the mean, which, in our case, means they will get better.
We have talented players. Eventually they will play better.
I wonder if O'Neil is just straight up terrible.

-Barnidge is everything that we hoped Jordan Cameron could be with two distinct differences. 1.) He stays healthy 2.) He can and will block.
-Crow and Duke made some nice plays when we needed them....
-The D is still very frustrating to watch, but they did step up and make plays when they absolutely had to.
-The officiating from week is getting to be absolutely nauseating... Sorry, Williams did nothing wrong on the play he was called for unnecessary roughness.
-Danny Shelton is a dumb person. Fortunately, Babin equaled his stupidity level today.
-Coons was pretty clutch today, but he had no business trying to make a tackle when the runner was on his way out of bounds. I thought it was a ticky tac call that every other team in the NFL would not have had called.
-Bryant got a sack on Flacco even with the RB holding him the entire time. Wonder if they would have called holding if Flacco was able to escape.
-Barnidge had a catch for the ages and might have changed the momentum of the game.
-This team finally showed some resolve. They could have rolled over several times and didn't.
-Some posters make the game day thread almost completely unbearable from the first negative play on. I come to these forums and this message board to root for the Cleveland Browns and it is hard when everything that happens is met with negativity from the get go. They're not perfect, but they are our Cleveland Browns and I'm proud of them today...

Why not open the game using it, and try and get a lead?

Key play in the game. McCown's INT negated by Jason Babin roughing the passer.

A win feels so great!
Lots of things to work on, but penalties have to be a priority. Too many drives being extended for the other team and field position being given away on dumb penalties.
