Very true. Great point.

I like to think McCown was simply trying to throw it away too and just didn't get enough under it.

I think Haslam wants us to be a spread offense team. It's probably why he went after Chip Kelly as a first option and drafted Manziel.

the negatives Pet's clock management at the end of the first half and at the end of the game was horrible.

Truman Williams has worn out his welcome for me. The penalty on the missed field goal cost us the game last week and his dumbass gets a penalty on 3rd and 10 that should have cost us this win as well. I am ready to see Desir or Gilbert in there.

The defense is a total joke at this point.

McCown had the worst best game I have ever seen by a QB. Held the ball to long, often throwing at the receivers feet or behind them. He threw 2 easy picks one called back due to penalty and Barnidge did a great job fighting the ball away from the defender.

The positives, McCown also made some terrific throws and the TE's, WR's and RB's made plays for him and blocked for each other. Joker has this group of receivers playing lights out and deserves to get some recognition.

I really felt Josh showed a lot of patience in allowing this offense to develop. We ran a lot of the vertical stretch and found guys underneath and let them make plays. Thats what this offense is designed to do.

Crow is a redzone demon. Duke is making plays. Barnidge is catching balls with his ass cheeks. We have guys making plays for the QB and this is a really good recipe for success.

Bottom line, Josh was really growing in confidence in those around him and also in himself. I know its just one win against a bad Ravens team but this is a team we always out play and beat ourselves at the end. Today we made plays to seal the win and thats a big step forward.

Such an awesome game, so many things you can talk about..

McCown was really good in the second half. The first half I thought he made a couple bad decisions that resulted in 3's instead of 6's.

The receivers were really good today. Benji, Gabriel, Duke Johnson as a receiver...

Barnidge continues to make big catches.

The defense was horrible today, but give them credit for putting the Browns in position to win the game by forcing a really bad 3 and out in OT.

Jim O'Neil better figure this out. This offense is ready to go, and it's being held back by the defense. There is stuff to correct in all 3 facets, but the defense is not pulling their weight.

That penalty call on Williams on the game tying drive by Baltimore was awful. All the tough, physical defensive teams like Seattle do that all the time and get away with it. That was a bail out call.

The front 7 needs to play better. They better be ready on Sunday.

About time we get one of these! This team has been snake-bitten so many times by the exact same stuff.

I'll agree with that. A turn over there would have been disastrous.... Babin helped us twice, like Shelton helped them twice...

This is the most satisfying win in quite a long time. The Ravens IN Baltimore. Yep, it feels very good.

To all of this past weeks, and past few weeks, negative nellies: The Browns played today. Against a team hardly anyone thought we would beat, with a qb most dislike and wanted the back up to play: And? We won.

I'll enjoy today, and the rest of the week. I'm sure by tomorrow afternoon the n.n.'s will be back saying "well, we won, but we left points on the field", or "well, we won but McCown could've done this better"...........

Enjoy it folks, and don't let the negative nancies ruin this coming week.

JUST AMAZING. I was ready for the classic Browns heartbreak but they CAME THROUGH. THEY ACTUALLY CAME THROUGH.

I (like many) am now officially eating crow about McCown. You don;t toss for 300 in a row for 3 in a row by accident with this WR core. I might not like his "style" of game but there's no doubt he can be an effective QB.

Our defense seriously needs to be fixed though. Shelton has proven NOT to be the key to shutting down the run. I noticed we looked to run alot of 4-3 today....is this screwing us up? Plus looks like Haden will be out a few weeks with a concussion.

And sweet jesus O'Neil....start covering RBs coming out of the damn backfield.

Sounds like Scott Solomon could be done for season...pettine didn't sound confident about him returning. Ticks me off because when he was in there early we were decent against the run. What makes me more mad is his ankle was still hurt so he should not have been in there in the first place

That post was unnecessary. Everyone that I can see is enjoying it. The only negative was your post.

DJ will be by soon I'm sure and that will be negative, but otherwise your post attempted to stir up crap that was totally unnecessary. I hope that made you feel good.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Oh, no. My post was a positive post.

I'll bet it's 100% accurate, also.

(aren't you one of the guys saying "we have to start manziel so we can see what we have?)

How about this: Let's play to win. Today, next week, and the week after.

Sorry my post struck you as negative. Perhaps you can read into that.

How good was McCown and his weapons today? WOw

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Not to mention we looked better without Joe Haden

There are a few here that think Desir was a waste, but IMO, the guy looks like he could develop into a very good CB

First I would like to say that the call on Williams was just complete garbage. Forearms to the chest of a guy stretching for the ball is not unnecessary roughness. IMO, it was a call made to give Baltimore the advantage it needed. If that call is not made, I believe the game was in the bag.

McCown makes me nervous as hell, but I have to say he is getting it done. The throw to Barnidge, the one he caught with his butt, was very good. He still looks antsy to me, and throws too hard on some of the short dump offs when under pressure.

I thought the run game was decent today, and thought they should have stayed with it more earlier. Baltimore's defense isn't what it used to be, but they are still pretty stout up front. I think Duke and Crow both played well running and in pass protection.

As for the WRs, they did well, but man do we need that big bodied guy for the red zone. Teams will now cover barnidge at the goal line, and unless one of the little guys can shake a defender, we have nobody to fight for the tough contested ball.

After today I have come to the conclusion that this defense has no force at ILB. I truly think Dansby is done. I hope when Robertson comes back things tighten up. But those runs up the middle should be stopped by a LB.

We have a good kicker, but I wish he had more touchbacks.

All in all, good gameplan for the most part, and very good play from the Oline IMO. If this defense can figure out what is ailing them, this season could be exciting.

Oh, and the Rats are 1-3 Bwaaahaaaaa!!!!!!!

I like what you wrote and I agree, nothing better than beating the Ravens in their house...my only wish would be that Art was still around to watch it.

I forgot to mention, that goaline stand on the Ravens last drive was huge. Defense came through when we most needed them.

Also, what was McCown thinking not throwing the ball away on the last drive of regulation? He wasted like 10 seconds.

Hasn't he been hurt though?

It's too bad our bye isn't this week.

It's true though. We beat a struggling team but the worst part is that we did it through the air out scoring BAL. We were yet again horrible in all the areas that were supposedly a focus for us.

Our D was bad
Can't stop the run
Can't really run the ball ourselves

We aren't built to win games throwing 50 times.

Love the win but the same problems were there today we've seen all season.

not really.

we can clearly win throwing the ball. we just did it.

so we have a strength on offense: we can pass the rock.

we run just to check the defense now. or we're passing to set up the run, which has actually worked the last two games.

the problems we have now are almost exclusively defense.

I thought Shelton played pretty poor today ... not to mention his two personal fouls

And our LBs are very very bad

Psst......we won. I know it might be a secret, but we won.

We could go 16-0 and some would find fault. Would it be legitimate fault? Maybe.

But can't we just be happy we won?

The d could've played better. The O could've played better. If you get right down to it, we should've had 3 punt returns for touchdowns if only the blockers would've blocked better, right?

Hey, we won. We beat a team that, earlier this week, the negative people were saying we would lose to.

Josh McCown is still who we think he is but he also is very capable of running this O as we have seen the last few weeks. Sure he will make some mistakes but all qb's do that. With a decent D we would be 4-1.
