I thought Shelton played pretty poor today ... not to mention his two personal fouls
And our LBs are very very bad Psst......we won. I know it might be a secret, but we won. We could go 16-0 and some would find fault. Would it be legitimate fault? Maybe. But can't we just be happy we won? The d could've played better. The O could've played better. If you get right down to it, we should've had 3 punt returns for touchdowns if only the blockers would've blocked better, right? Hey, we won. We beat a team that, earlier this week, the negative people were saying we would lose to. its def. not as black and white..I think homers are worse than what people call negative. Offense was very good, but if anyone watching this year thinks this defense is even competent has never played any organized sports. If you think you're going to throw for 50 times every game and do well..well how many times has mccown won this year...1 game, For contrast, JFF won as well throwing 15 times while being able to run the ball on offense...which one does everyone think is more sustainable? A win is great, but that doesn't mean you can enjoy it while pointing out there is still plenty of work to be done, especially when the win is against a decimated with injuries baltimore team. Try throwing 50 times next week against Denver and see how that turns out...I predict 7+ sacks and minimum of 3 picks.. We have to commit to the run atleast if nothing else to balance it out. Defense on the other hand is a dumpster fire and people should be losing their jobs over it. How can you consistently be the worst at your job and still be employed. Winning is much better than losing for sure, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking this is a complete football team. We might not win another game if the defense doesn't get it together and the run game don't start to be emphasized. the cupcake part of the schedule is over.

I agree that we should enjoy the W arch ... but just like we're allowed to say good things after we lose, we can criticize certain aspects after we win IMO
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

God no he isn't, he's a good pass blocking finesse tackle, but there are more complete LT than him out there. He is really weak at the point of attack in moving people in the run game. But i guess with this offense him being a top 3 pass blocking LT is more important

Josh McCown and Gary Barnidge were Batman and Robin today
I thank them for bringing back some fandom left in me. This is still the same talentless roster beating a more stupid team today, but destroying the Ravens season on their home field got me pumped.
It's just a shame that our two playmakers are old journeymen with no upside, but hats off to them, they had career games

I agree that we should enjoy the W arch ... but just like we're allowed to say good things after we lose, we can criticize certain aspects after we win IMO Fair enough. I'll focus on the good though. I've learned in life that focusing on the bad gets you......exactly no where. And that doesn't mean you can't look back and say "I can improve on that". Sorry man, there was so much negative this past week on here, yet here we are: we won. Our sucky OC called a good game. Our Suck ass qb played a great game. We didn't have any turnover. Our "terrible" D had a huge 3 and out in OT Our "suck ass offense with a sucky qb, terrible wr's, and no running game moved the ball down the field to win the game. We won. Allow yourself to enjoy it. Let the coaches, "that suck" worry about making improvements. JMO

Well, I didn't get to see the game. Please find a way to win one of the next two games. Starting 2-5 is soo much worse than 3-4, and soo many years 2-5 is the reality.
Barely can find the Browns on t.v. much anymore, but the cowboys seem always on.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Hey Johnny fanboys, Joe Thomas is laughing at you. He didn't forget your lowlight of Browns fandom when you went as far as dissing him in your quest to scream Manziel onto the field, neither did I. You look like idiots now. Enjoy the win from the bench

Which one of you knuckleheads still wants to blow this all up? With this "elite" defense...I'm still in favor of Farmer packing his bags. Sorry...but they are horrible.
After 55 years, I'm walking away from this dumpster fire. Good luck to everyone who continues to hang on. You'll need it.

Room to improve? Yes.
Defense sucks, but they'll get better. Firing our GM, and cleaning house of defensive personnel, especially with so many key injuries on defense, is as smart as moving the team to Los Angeles.

Props to the offense for getting it done. This defense absolutely sucks. Period. However, they made the stop in OT when they had to so good for them. Still want to see what the offense does against a legit D. Coons is money. Pettine still needs to learn clock management. Definitely cost us an opportunity to win the game in regulation at the end. Still, it's a W against Baltimore so screw them! Small steps I guess. It will be a happy week in Cleveland which is always nice.

There's no talent on defense. It's a Bad mix of mostly has beens and no talent youngsters. And that's all Farmer's work we're looking at. If that, the 9mil Bowe deal and textgate doesn't get you fired...

or,
people only come on after the game to make "i told you so" post, and can't when we win.

We won pretty, we won ugly......but we won, and all the negative nellies come out in force if we lose. When we win, it usually takes 24 hours for the negatives. Today? 2 hours. it's the old "yeah, we won, but forget that, we coulda shoulda woulda" crap. The team is learning to win, but more than that, I think the fans (many of them anyway) need to learn how to win.

how about a weird statistical note:
We've only won in Baltimore two times (2007 and 2015)
Both times the final score: 33-30 in Overtime
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Both times the final score: 33-30 in Overtime We also beat them in Baltimore in 2002, and iirc we swept them in 2001. Edit: btw: we are 2-0 in our white jerseys, 0-3 in brown jerseys

We won. Harder than it had to be, longer game than anybody wanted, STOOPID flag football for dumb stuff again (would have been off the field but for yet another flag on us!), but it is a notch.
Gripe, second guess, criticize, take a job with BSPN, hey: WE won.
And it was good.

Big Play Gary!
Josh missed some people, threw some bad balls but he also hung in the pocket and delivered some on the money balls. He set some records today, good for him IMO, a lot of us hate on him, but he deserved it. Again, good for Josh.
Our defense sucks. Our run game defense is, and as always, horrible. Forsette got injured and as sad as it may say, I felt some relief. He was torching us up.
Joe Haden was getting burned up again before leaving the game.
I thought for sure that K'aun Williams penalty was "the one play" that dropped us another loss.
All and all, good win. Glad I watched the entire game. Defense BLOWS!

We won the game so hooray!
That being said McCown is a liability and need to limit the mental mistakes if we have any chance of beating the legit teams coming up in the next fwe weeks. Dude threw for over 450 yards, no picks. What mental mistakes are you worried about. And why is it you think he's a liability? For what it's worth, he's a leader. hell, if I'm worried about anything, it's the D. Last year, Pettine spent time mostly with the D.. This year he's said he's spending more time with the O. Oddly enough, the D was better last year and Now the O is improving nicely. I'll say something and I know I'll get crucified for it by a few on here, but I honestly think that Flip will end up being a better OC than we've seen here in the past. this Guy called a hell of a game. Better yet, the O executed. (it does take both) The D has been disappointing all season. some of that is due to injuries I know, some is a few players that we were counting on not showing up big in an significant way. whatever it is, it needs addressed. Hope the figure it out.

McCown played a hell of a game. The whole offense played well. Kudos to Flip, he called a great game and has been doing well this season.
Travis Coons, he's been automatic.
Haden played after being ripped all week in the media. He probably should have sat this one out, but played thru the injury and got hurt again.
The D needs work.
Time to enjoy the win. We'll see if they can cary the momentum into next week.

If you want to think winning 1 game makes us perfect, great. If you think we are a super bowl caliber team because of today, great. The rest of us will look at reality and see there is still a lot of improve in. If discussing those things makes people a "negative nelly" so be it. You are more than welcome to utilize the "ignore" feature of this board.

You are more than welcome to utilize the "ignore" feature of this board. When did I say we were perfect? When did I say we were super bowl caliber? When did I even say "playoff" caliber? Thanks for the answer: Never. What I did say was negative nellies would show up in about 24 hours and discount this win. I was wrong. By about 22 hours. You look at YOUR reality, I'll look at mine. Today, we won. You go ahead and poo poo the win, that's your choice. The team needs to start a winning attitude, and truthfully? The people on this board need to start that as well. "Wait" you say. "We'll suck next week". We didn't do this right, we sucked here, we'll never be good unless we fire "x" and get a qb..........and yet, we won today. A negative attitude is like a flat tire on a car: You'll never get anywhere until you change it. (that's from my facebook, but it pertains here immensely) You go on with the negative even in the face of positive. I'll go a different way. Feel free to ignore me.

Tell me Arch, where did I "poo poo" the win? That's right, I didn't.
I'm sure the attitude will change when this team manages to string together consecutive wins(I think it's called a winning streak).
