Expand social security, free tuition to all, and more, how do they think they're realistically going to pay for that? They never delve into that part too much do they. That just doesn't add up to me economically. once again, cutting the free stuff we send to the middle east will help. once again, the amount of money we spent in iraq for one year could've funded millions of americans to free college. there's plenty of ways. but it sounds like your not willing to invest in americans. No, it sounds like I don't want to raise taxes.

you realize that taxes pay for a lot of stuff you don't wanna pay for right?
so you're saying you support the money you paid in taxes for the war in iraq, but not on american citizens?
why do you hate america?

Why does there have to be a VA Hospital? Why can't these vets go to the physicians they choose? What's the difference if Uncle Sam is paying for it anyway?

I don't know why. My guess would be that there is someone "important" making even more money off of those investments. And those "important" people are the ones who actually run the country.

they clearly showed they aren't worth a damn. and afghanistan. Yeah, one of the misconceptions I had going in (to Iraq at least) was that these people would take freedom and run with it. Hasn't happened.

the Quran and Sharia Law is straight up grounds for dictatorship.
no such things as our version of freedom.
closest thing to western lifestyle the middle east will get is Turkey.

I once spoke on the phone with Von Doom years ago and he said that once we left Iraq it was gonna be just like when we left Viet Nam and there was a reason middle eastern countries were run by dictators.

It’s really remarkable how unscathed Clinton has been tonight by the other candidates. She skated right past questions on Benghazi and her private email server, and on one of her most vulnerable issues — her vote to authorize the war in Iraq — she drew only indirect criticism from Sanders and Chafee, who missed a huge opportunity to draw a sharp contrast with her foreign policy. The moderators have tried to get the other candidates to rough her up, but about the best they’ve been able to do is get O’Malley to say that she may be a little too eager to use military force. Sanders supporters are likely to disagree with Clinton’s support for the Patriot Act, but instead of criticizing her directly for that vote, Sanders loosed a familiar broadside at government surveillance and did not link her to it. Clinton’s skills at debating are clearly evident tonight, but she has benefited most greatly from a decorousness by the other candidates that is rarely on display during Republican debates. http://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/fir...update-14475792

Well, I can see firing Saddam loyalists if you're trying to change things. Just sad that they couldn't see the future we were thinking of.

Bernie's perfect plan is to talk about him, and not attack clinton. Actions, his past work, speak louder than attack words.

No, I actually don't support paying taxes for certain uses in the Middle East because I think it's fool hardy. If someone wants to institute free everything (not fiscally responsible), you do realize that they'll have to raise taxes heavily on the middle class to be able to afford this, that is common sense.
I look at things from an economic standpoint. When you raise taxes, this means that each individual is paying more to the government, leaving them with ultimately less money to spend on other things that would help stimulate the economy (goods\services). Also, if I'm paying a heavy tax burden to the government, my incentive to work and earn money goes down.
If you to look up the individual tax rate difference between places that have "free" everything and compare it to the United States you'll see what I mean.

i posted this on FB so i'll just copy it here:
Thoughts on the ‪#‎DEMDEBATE‬ : Chafee and Webb are out of their league. Chafee seems like a push over. no fire, no drive, no hard line responses. O'Malley isn't ready yet, but man, he had some awesome responses. Questions about his record as governor of Maryland, but overall, love his track record. Definitely Bernie and Hilary are the front runners. Bernie is scandal-free though, and Hilary is relying a bit much on the "first woman" thing. Overall, loved this debate, because it was an actual DEBATE. The democrats actually debated and talked about the issues, while the GOP debates were more like a reality shows with more mud slinging toward the other candidates than actual discussion of issues.

I would love to see a debate series like this: The Democrat candidates question the Republicans, and the Republican candidates question the Democrat candidates. It will never happen, but it would be a lot of fun.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

the same way every other developed country with a surplus does it Ted, like norway, switzerland, denmark, germany, sweden. Where do they get those surpluses? Oh yea, they scuttled their militaries because they have the US to defend them.

Oh yea, they scuttled their militaries because they have the US to defend them. Norway still has a military as all men must serve in it for 1 year. That said, the surplus there comes from government owned oil interests, VERY, VERY high taxes, and and over the top cost of living - Oslo is one of the most expensive places to live in the world. Why is the cost of living so expensive? Socialism - go check out how much it costs to eat out in Norway due to the fact that employees are paid so much. But this won't happen when we up our minimum wage to $15/hour.
