Kinda sucks hearing about Walker decommiting. I think he should wait, but that's obviously his decision. Had a bit of a bad feeling that us taking a bunch of stud RBs already might have this effect.

Last year, all the "experts" on ESPN kept talking about how you had to leave Florida State as number 1 and in the final four picture because they were undefeated and reigning national champions.

This year, almost all of them are removing Ohio State from the final four and saying the national championship means nothing.

Why the double standard?

We have not looked god this year, but last year Florida State was even uglier. Yet, the twits on ESPN==and in the national media--defended them. I really feel that there is an Ohio State bias in the media.

As long as they keep winning, everything will take care of itself.

They would struggle to be a top 4 team if they lose any remaining game. As we saw last year, if you are going to lose, lose early in the season so you can slowly climb back up. Lose this late in the year and too many teams jump ahead.

The talking heads just want to rile people up and get them talking about what so-an-so said on ESPN last night. Seems to work.

There has often been a double standard in the media when it comes to Ohio teams. Remember how the media whined about Baylor being left out of the championship series last year?

Yes, everybody hates Ohio State, woe is them... the national media, ESPN, the pollsters, everybody. I'm surprised they are even in the top 10... <rolleyes> smdh...

There is no grand conspiracy or double standard, it's a figment of your imagination... "The media" didn't whine about anything last year, some thought Baylor deserved to be in, others didn't. Some thought FSU should retain the #1 spot, others pointed out several times how they were squeaking by average teams and wondered if they still deserved to be #1.... There are 8,421 sports broadcasters, each with their own opinion, they frequently disagree. Ohio State fans have this uncanny knack of only hearing the ones that are critical of, or don't heap praise upon, Ohio State.

Where was this double standard when they were voted unanimous #1 at the beginning of the season? "The media" was actually reaching to try to find teams that could compete with them just to make their pre-season shows interesting... Then the season started and they have not lived up to the hype, they have flat out struggled. If anything, they are a victim right now of being OVERhyped by this same media that you say has a double standard against them.

As an outsider watching OSU fans, it becomes fairly entertaining... 4 guys on a pregame show, 3 of them pick OSU to win handily, the 4th says they might struggle, even lose... and in the minds of OSU fans, that means "the media" hates us... Even when that 4th guy is Mark May, who probably does hate you.... but he's one guy.

They've lightened up the past few years, but there was undoubtedly a lot of anti OSU bias in the media prior to that. I think a lot of it started in 2002 and the butt hurt inflicted by beating Miami.

My opinion - it got goes back to the days when the Florida 9 Florida State / Miami teams put up huge points..the BCS was modified [I think] to remove margin of victory...that being said, OSU never seems one to put up and demolish an opponent and demoralize them. Ohio State would get up 2 scores and then go into 'prevent and contain mode' and end up wining by 7-10 points.

The idea that number 1 should demolish everyone and cover the spread is antiquated [so 80's ) - as we see every week where top teams struggle [in all conferences] ... For whatever reason, OSU has to continually prove itself no matter what - oh yeah - probably due to the love ESPN has had historically for the SEC and love for FSU - would anyone consider the ACC overall equal as the B1G?

Especially evident in ESPN analysis.

Just wonder why he's not in there before the red zone. I like Cardale (largely due to last year) and hope he can develop because I really want the guy who won those three games last year on the Browns next year.
But he definitely isn't playing like he did last year.

Losing Devin Smith doesn't help his production either.
