My sports app, theScore, just pinged me that Haden didn't practice today and is still within the concussion protocol.

I wasn't aware Hughes suffered a knee injury or had a knee issue? Limited though, hopefully just a battle wound...

I heard that people that work for the Browns are only allowed to text.

They changed that policy.. the NFL can ask for texts but can not tap phone calls on land lines, that still requires a court order. Old technology is still good for something...

Joe Haden’s Concussion May Not End Up Being His Biggest Headache

Yes, we know that Joe Haden is in the concussion program and that he has an injured finger and that he is not expected to play this week against the Denver Broncos.

Hopefully that is the last game Joe Haden misses this year.

According to a very trusted source, there may be something much deeper and more troublesome brewing for the 26-year-old cornerback. His message stated that there were rumors flying around that Haden was somehow involved in something big and this wouldn’t be the last game he would be missing. Things got more interesting as the day went on and we received this link from our source with the message “stay tuned.”



Clearly, this document does not implicate Joe Haden in any way, but the message that was sent along with it — and the earlier messages we received — lead us to believe there could be something to it.

Could Joe Haden, or those he associates with, be involved in a federal money laundering indictment somehow? There is an awful lot of detail in that indictment, which we ran past a lawyer. We were told that a federal indictment with that detail usually means they have the drug dealer cooperating or a confession, meaning that — if this was set up as some kind of sting operation — someone appears to have rolled over.

We don’t know how he is involved, or to what to degree, if any. It could have been friends who were over his house and doing less than legal things without his knowledge. He could have blindly been implicated by the company he keeps and not even known. He could not be involved at all and this could just be a rumor started by an attorney popping his mouth off.

Our initial reaction was to wait and see and to an extent, we still intend to do that. But after sending a couple cryptic Tweets and the responses they received, suspicions began to rise.



After seeing those Tweets, a news director from one of the Cleveland news stations sent an email to us asking if we had time to talk. He wanted know if we had “heard what he had heard.”

We really hope nothing comes of this because the season has already been a tumultuous one to say the least. I don’t know how much more Cleveland Browns fans can handle.

This came out a week ago and NO media outlet with credibility has ran with it. On twitter, over and over again, no one knew where this connection to Haden was coming from. One media person even said this site went with a made up story.

That report is the equivalent "I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.".

That's a prophetic statement, truly. But, I'd probably stop w/ the Joe Haden stuff if I were you. Garbage articles are one thing. Saying he has a history of drug abuse is irresponsible.

IIRC, his suspension was for a substance considered to be "performance enhancing", and thus fell within that particular aspect of the policy.
