Can we add practice squad players missed Dion Lewis and Willie Snead?
Just curious because technically they were ours and didn't sign them to the 53. i dont. but to each there own. I think you have to count Dion Lewis if not for the fact that we traded to get him, but by the ten billion fluff pieces we had to read about his agility that one summer.

Frankly, I didn't really notice him in the parts of the game I watches. I do know that Winn has exactly the performance I stated. He is averaging roughly one tackle/game. He has no sacks and no QB hurries. He does have 1 tackle for a loss, which I guess is pretty good out of only 6 tackles.
The Indy defense is so-so to bad.
Indy allows 289 yards/game passing, which is 28th in the NFL. They are 20th in rushing yards allowed.
Please tell me what Winn is doing in Indy that is so spectacular. He plays on approximately 27% of the team's defensive snaps. (118/436 defensive snaps) That seems to imply that he would be a situational guy. Is tat the case? Does he come in to rush the passer? If so, has he been effective?
According to Football Outsiders, Winn played 22 snaps on defense against the Patriots. (and 17 on special teams)
So ..... what did Winn do that really stood out for you in the Pats game, or in general this season?

And to me, that's the entire point.
We let talented players go. We turned around and signed guys that were supposed to be a better fit for this D. We have drafted guys who were supposed to fit this D.
Through all of that, our D has declined, not gotten better.
In my book, that's a fail.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The Jets’ Most Important Defender Is—Buster Skrine? Opposing quarterbacks target the receiver Skrine covers every 4.4 snaps, tied for the league’s fifth-highest rate. And he hasn’t allowed a touchdown FLORHAM PARK, N.J.—This past off-season, Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan spent tens of millions of dollars to bring back cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, who have 10 Pro Bowl appearances between them. The moves obscured the more modest acquisition of another cornerback, Buster Skrine, who left the Cleveland Browns to sign a four-year, $25 million contract with the Jets. Five weeks into the season, opposing quarterbacks have been hesitant to pass to receivers covered by Cromartie or Revis. So they throw toward Skrine. He may not be as stellar as Revis, who is tied for the NFL lead with five takeaways, but given how often quarterbacks throw his way, Skrine might be the Jets’ most important defensive player. Quarterbacks have thrown at the receiver Cromartie covers once every 8.2 snaps and at the receiver Revis defends every 7.8 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. Those are, respectively, the ninth-lowest and 13th-lowest rates out of the 69 cornerbacks who have played at least half their team’s defensive snaps. Meanwhile, quarterbacks target the receiver Skrine covers every 4.4 snaps, tied for the league’s fifth-highest rate. Despite the extra action, Skrine has been solid. He has no interceptions but hasn’t allowed a touchdown. When throwing at the receiver Skrine covers, opposing quarterbacks have completed 17 of 28 pass attempts for 192 yards and a passer rating of 81.3, according to Pro Football Focus. That’s below the league’s average passer rating of 89.1. ‘I like more balls thrown at me. I can make more plays.’ —Buster Skrine Skrine’s steadiness is important in head coach Todd Bowles’s aggressive defense. According to Stats LLC, the Jets, who host the Washington Redskins Sunday at 1 p.m., are the only NFL team to blitz on more than half of their passing plays, doing so 52.7% of the time. That means the cornerbacks often have to cover receivers one-on-one. Skrine downplayed the idea that opposing quarterbacks are just avoiding Revis and Cromartie. He noted that he usually covers the “slot” receiver, who lines up in the space between the offensive line and a wide receiver. “The slot’s the closest throw, the easiest throw,” Skrine said. “That’s a good thing. I like more balls thrown at me. I can make more plays.” Now he just has to focus on not interfering with them. Skrine led the NFL in 2014 with 17 penalties, according to Pro Football Focus, and has three in four games this season. http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-jets-most-important-defender-isbuster-skrine-1445030220

Getting rid of Billy Winn was another mistake in countless roster mistakes. What's a Billy Winn? 6 tackles, (3 solo and 3 assist so far this season) with no sacks, INT, or other game changing play is what. You made me laugh YTown...:) However, he was very active Sunday night against the Patriots. In that 1 game he showed much more than any of our dud Defensive linemen all season. Are you actually a Farmer fan? His incompetence is plain as day.

defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin Elizabeth Wiley, KING 5 News 12:03 p.m. PDT October 20, 2015
What head coach Pete Carroll had say about him:
“He’s been really good for us, he’s tough as nails, you can’t knock him off the football. He handles all the double teams, the down and dirty work really well. And he’s got a motor about chasing the football that I love, for a big man. You just don’t see big men get up and get on that high horse as often as he does. I think he’s really good at it. It hasn’t manifested in a big play on the sidelines, but he’s going to knock the heck out of some guys and knock that ball loose a couple of times because that effort is there. The opportunity hasn’t really hit yet, but I think we’ll see him in the next couple, we’ll see something like that. He just keeps going for it.”
