I'm not blaming anyone, I think it's disgraceful when any team does it. Signing jersey's and exchanging them is not sportsmanship it's immature.

My objection to the post-game lovefests is that an emotional bond is fostered by NFL teams so that they can sell tickets, concessions, parking, and NFL gear. It doesn't seem like too much to ask for a fan to expect that the players would have a brief post-game encounter, a handshake and a "good game", and to keep their fraternizing off camera, on their own time. Its just a really crappy look to me when I see guys who I'm supposed to believe are at least as emotionally invested as I am, yukking it up with the guys who just kicked his ass. If you can turn it off that fast, I have to at least wonder how much you cared to begin with. Anyway, this isn't the first time we've had this discussion on DT, and I found out that mine is the minority opinion, at least here. I suppose it means I'm "old school", or too provincial, or just not understanding modern athletes - no biggie.

The flip side of this argument would be Jim Harbaugh and that clown that used to coach for Detroit the season before last. Those guys are complete asshats, and if you want that type of attitude, I guess you're entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree with you.

I get it that fans of a losing/spanked team don't like seeing their guys yuck it up after, but it's normal in sports to dislike and beat on someone during a game and be cool after. I'm most competitive when I'm playing hockey against friends.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I'm local to the Cleveland market so I saw Bob Golic, (three-time Pro Bowl NT for the Browns '85, '86, '87), on TV when he blasted some of the team members yucking it up after the game. I also heard him explain himself on his radio show the next day.

He said he gets the new league and all, with the FA and stuff, being different than when he played. But he sees a Browns OL, (didn't name him), laughing it up after the game. What pissed him off about that is, (paraphrased), "Your line played bad enough that your QB got the crap beat out of him and knocked out of the game and you're standing around laughing afterward like it's no big deal, like you take no accountability for that."
