so you think LSU will lose to Bama?
For some reason, I see that RB Henry from Bama having a better night tonight. Yeah, Bama wins tonight OSU loses to MSU just hunches ... I could be dead wrong haha And....no more MSU. Pretty crappy call on the receiver OB, but Sparty goes down I actually wanted MSU to be undefeated when we play them for a better strength of schedule...if Mich keeps wining we could beat 2 top 15 teams to close out .. if Iowa can stay undefeated until he B1G championship game that would be 3 possible top 10 wins to close out and get a #1 ranking spot in the polls before the final bowl selection...

I agree that would be nice, but I'm pretty sure we make it in the final 4 if we don't lose. No way they keep an undefeated defending champ out - that would be a joke.

If Ohio State wins out with wins over MSU,Michigan, and Iowa they will be the #1 overall seed. The only reason they were 3rd this week was because there best win so far this year was Penn State. That will change as the year plays out. An undefeated Iowa would be top 2 for sure. I would even say that a 1 loss Mich State with wins over Michigan, Oregon, Ohio State, and Iowa would be at the very least a 3rd seed. The only Big Ten team that controls their Big Ten destiny that would spoil the party for the conf is Michigan. If they win out and win the Conf with 2 losses unless there is chaos in the other conf's the Big Ten would get shut out of the playoff. The Big Ten is not being talked about as weak this season. There are 4 really good teams in the conf this year.

If the Big10 gets shut out like you said, that just allows them to put more SEC teams in..
Its ganna be a fight to keep one of LSU and Bama out..
Baylor could have a better record, but theyre "Just Baylor"
Last year if you swap TCU and Baylor with Texas and OK, i dont think OSU gets in.. just because the names are different.

If Northwestern hadn't been a phony (as they usually are) I guess you could argue them as well..
I think they, like TCU and Baylor, get lumped together as "the other teams"
Like when Boise was going undefeated every other year.. "Aww thats cute, here have a BCS bowl game, now be quiet"

ND vs Stanford will decide a spot it looks like
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Amazing!
I am so sick of the bias in college football.
How does a one-loss Bama team pass us? We beat their ass and we have a better team this year. They do not have a better team than last year.
And Notre Dame? Really?

I don't see any bias in these rankings. Alabama has wins over 2 top 25 teams LSU and Wisconsin. Notre Dame also has wins over 2 top 25 teams Navy and Temple. Clemson has 2 wins vs top 25 Florida State and the best win so far in 2015 Notre Dame. There are no other teams with multiple wins over top 25 teams. Ohio State has yet to play a top 25 team but that will change when they play MSU, Michigan, and Iowa very soon. If they win all 3 they will jump to #1. I like the the way the committee has worked so far. They got the right 4 teams in the playoff last year (sorry Big 12 fans). They should reward teams for playing tough schedules and not totally punish a team for a loss. If they went only by who has not lost there would never be any teams playing tough non conf games. When the committee rules were set up the previous season is to not be a factor in selection. They are suppose to only use current season as a tool for the rankings.

Rankings right now don't mean squat... OSU hasn't looked dominate at all this year... But if they win out they are in
Bama has looked really good - had a great win against LSU... I still think the committee should count their loss more though... But a big 12 team that wins out will jump bama

But a big 12 team that wins out will jump bama I'm not sure about that, you may be correct but I just have the feeling that the committee has little to no respect for the Big 12.

But a big 12 team that wins out will jump bama Not a chance. Clemson, Bama, and OSU are in if they win out. I don't care what anybody else does. The final spot will be between Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Stanford, and Baylor... and if they have hiccups, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see LSU work their way back into the discussion. To win out, that means Iowa loses, they are out.. shame that having 1 loss to a team that could be #1 means you are out, but it's better to lose early than late... the loser of the Stanford/Notre Dame game is out. If Iowa wins out they are in because they will have beaten OSU and Maryland... Baylor still has OK and OK State... OK still has OK State.. at least 2 of those teams are out with that rotation... Assuming the big 3 win out, we are going to have the same thing we had last year... 3 definite locks and 2 or 3 teams with a legit claim to the 4th spot.

Oklahoma has to face Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma State. If they win out, I'd put them in easily. North Carolina could actually play themselves in as well. If they win out and beat Clemson in the ACC championship.

I had not thought of North Carolina.. But, Clemson would be their only win of any significance and their loss was to USC, who isn't all that great.... so i would make them a long shot at best.

They could make an OSU type of climb, but they'd have to blast Clemson pretty bad. They also need Pitt to finish strong.

They would need a bunch of teams they've beat to finish strong... and this is where I think reputation plays into this whole process. When it comes to football, UNC is not Ohio State. UNC has a steeper hill to climb to prove they are legit. Teams like Ohio State, Bama, LSU, Notre Dame, USC (California) and a couple others... they get the benefit of the doubt. If they lose early and make a late season charge people go, "Oh, yea, this is Ohio State. See, we knew they would be pretty good." UNC does it and gets, "Yea, this is nice but I still don't know... this is UNC who typically wins 7 or 8 games. I'm not really buying it."

Might as well as add Stanford to the group. They got mauled by Northwestern, who is a pedestrian team in the Big 10, yet no one wants to mention that and instead they talk about the Big sucking and the Pac 10 being awesome.

I love the consistency of the Pac of Pansies conference.
UCLA should be their headliner. They might want to change their name to the Schizophrenics.
Stanford got BEAT UP by Northwestern, and the funny thing is that Stanford is winning the Pansy conference because they are the team that is somewhat similar to the BIG's teams.
Oh..........and I love how EVERY YEAR, w/out fail........that the AP puts USC in the top 20. They're loaded. That's what we always hear. And then they get their clocks handed to them around week 3.
That conference should do a Charmin commercial. They are soft and crappy.

Mississippi State is going to be tough for Bama. Dak Predcott has been playing at a VERY high level this year. People just kinda forgot about Dak after last year.

I've been saying it for a week now. People have been sleeping on Oklahoma. If they win out, they're easily in the playoffs. Baker Mayfield is a heisman candidate.

I tend to agree with you though.

Tom Herman is an incredible coach. It's amazing, but not shocking what he's doing in Houston. He's gonna be at a big boy school soon.

j/c:
--Oklahoma is physical. And you guys are right about their qb. He was dynamic.
--Glad to see Baylor get beat. Maybe it will shut-up their cry-baby coach. Their schedule is pathetic and so is their defense.
--Watched a lot of the Memphis/Houston game. Very entertaining win. Two good teams. Herman is going to be a hot commodity.
--What's up w/LSU? That was a beat-down? I didn't watch much of that game, but man.......
--The Pac 12 was its usual schizophrenic self. They are so overrated.

I tend to agree with you though. I'm not sure about Clemson looking vulnerable, if that's the case, OSU has looked vulnerable most of the season. As for ND, Temple's loss really hurts their resume and beating Stanford will only drop the Cardinal even more in the rankings. What will NDs signature win be then? I know they have a signature loss to Clemson, but they need a lot more than that. And wow, 4 of the 5 teams ranked 6 through 10 lost yesterday. Crazy.

For all of the hype about strength of schedule, Alabama has currently only played 2 ranked opponents:
#17 LSU (7-2 record Win at home)
#25 Ole Miss (7-3 record, Loss at home)

And actually, Cook looked HORRIBLE when he was in, 6/20 for 77 yards and an INT... It's the same thing every week... Defense starts out ok, offense starts out like crap.... as the game gets into the second quarter, offense continues to look like crap, defense starts to falter, offense starts turning the ball over making it even harder on the defense, then defense collapses... Maryland had 14 possessions... 6 - 3 and outs 1 - 1 first down 1 - downs 5 - turnovers 1 - touchdown
