Barrett is clearly better than Jones. Jones should have left after the championship game.

better look on O tonight thus far

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Zeke is a animal. Just makes me more frustrated we didn't give him the ball more earlier in the year.

If we could get Bosa and Zeke in the draft…that'd be great. Throw Miller into that mix and it'd be really great.

Kind of a messed up way to welcome teams to the Big 10 by putting them in the same division as OSU and the Michigan schools. Maryland and Rutgers got screwed.

OSU just had better athletes tonight. Not much of a shocker. There's a few throws JT missed that he can work on. Overall, impressive performance and we looked like what we should have looked like all year.

We've returned to dominant form.

Excellent game last night. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

--The tempo is so much faster when JT is at qb. This really helps us on offense.

--Love how Urban is taking care of all his stars. Getting them touches.

--The thing w/Zeke is that like all great backs, you can contain him for awhile, but he is a threat to break the big one on any given play.

--Another thing about Zeke...he is a complete back. He can run, catch, and block. That will make him valuable in the NFL.

--Bosa looked more explosive last night than he has all season. He exploded off the line.

--Braxton is uncanny w/his athleticism.

--The corner....what is his name again...Conley? Man, he's fast.

--We had our best defensive performance of the year.

--Loved the shots of the cannon guys. I think they had to turn the announcer's mikes off for a few seconds because they were laughing so hard. I had noticed those guys in the pre-game. It was hilarious. rofl

--We are improving and could peak at the exact right time......AGAIN!

What an enjoyable game for us OSU homers.

Decision to start JT = brilliant. My ONLY knock on him was that he missed Braxton wide open on the play he scrambled right, but that is OKAY!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE OSU! We're executing at a high level and that definitely factors in the defense. The second and third stirng defense gave up a garbage TD late, but should've been a total blow-out.

Killed that team!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett arrested for driving under the influence, according to report

By Doug Lesmerises, cleveland.com
October 31, 2015

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State's J.T. Barrett, one week after he made his first start of the season for the Buckeyes, was arrested early Saturday for operating a vehicle while impaired, according to a report by ElevenWarriors.com.

This quarterback situation for the Buckeyes may not be settled after all.

According to the report, Barrett blew just over the 0.08 legal limit on a breathalyzer test. Eleven Warriors reported that Barrett was released to a teammate who drove him home - Cardale Jones.

Jones started the first seven games of the season for Ohio State at quarterback before Barrett took over against Rutgers last week.

The Buckeyes are off Saturday, their only bye week of the regular season. Urban Meyer gave the players Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

Also this needs to be said: For as much crap as Cardale gets for being "immature" because of his Twitter posts, JT had the cops called on him last year and now he has this incident. Cardale has never had these types of issues.

I think Meyer almost has to suspend him for at least one game, after the stance he took with Bosa and the other players before Va Tech.

He's a team captain too.

Don't put any serious credibility into this, but I've "heard" it wasn't just alcohol. So it's gonna be interesting to see what happens.

Based on the article I read, underage drinking is an automatic 2 game suspension according to the OSU student athlete handbook. This sucks.

Man, I can't believe this.

The external pressure on suspending him for a significant amount of time is going to be intense.

Cardale needs to dig deep and find that 2014 playoff run mojo again because it looks like he'll be starting the next couple games. At least he won't have to do it against MSU / Bama / Oregon. Hope for his sake and ours that he succeeds.

I checked Cardale Jones Twitter to see if he was "talking" - all quiet so far. He did recently re-tweet this photo (from Braxton Miller) of him throwing a block to spring Braxton. Nice!

I hope that the suspension is "only" two games. The national media dislikes Ohio State and they are going to be fierce in calling for a stiff punishment.

Looks like it'll only be one game, unless Urb wants it to be more ...

J.T. Barrett suspended after arrest for operating vehicle while intoxicated

Mark Schlabach, ESPN Senior Writer

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has been suspended one game after being arrested early Saturday morning on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated near campus.

The school announced that Barrett was cited with a misdemeanor offense of OVI and will serve the suspension for top-ranked Ohio State's game on Nov. 7 against Minnesota. The defending national champion Buckeyes do not have a game this weekend.

Barrett, 20, was arrested after trying to avoid a DUI checkpoint near the Ohio State campus, a source told ESPN. He failed a breathalyzer test and was released to teammate and fellow quarterback Cardale Jones, according to the source.

The arrest was first reported Saturday by ElevenWarriors.com.

Because Barrett is under the age of 21, his arrest would be considered a second positive under Ohio State's department of athletics student-athlete drug and alcohol program. Under the program, Barrett would be subject to a two-week suspension from his team's competition. OSU athletic director Gene Smith would decide whether to reinstate Barrett to the team, and he would be subject to reasonable cause testing in the future.

But Smith told ESPN on Saturday morning that because Barrett was charged with a misdemeanor, he isn't subject to the mandatory two-week suspension. Smith said Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer decided Barrett's punishment.

Smith said Barrett will be eligible to return for Ohio State's road game at Illinois on Nov. 14 and its Nov. 21 showdown against No. 6 Michigan State at the Horseshoe.

Barrett, a sophomore from Wichita Falls, Texas, had regained the starting job from Jones before last week's 49-7 victory over Rutgers. He took over the offense against Rutgers after Jones started the first seven games of the 2015 season. Barrett completed 14 of 18 passes for 223 yards with three touchdowns in what might have been Ohio State's most impressive victory of the season.

Barrett was the starter in 2014 before breaking his ankle in the final regular-season game against rival Michigan.

That's good news. One game isn't bad. I hope it's true.

LOL.........I know that sounds weird, but I was worried about losing him for the season.

No.

What's hypocritical is how Cardale is perceived as the immature one because of comments made on Twitter, but JT is the one goofing up off the field.

I thought I read that the OSU guidebook calls for a 2 game suspension for a DUI.

Let me see if I can find it again .....

Never mind, it was not a 2 game suspension because the violation was a misdemeanor.

Pretty hilarious that there is a vendetta, and has been for Urban Meyer by morons like Clay Travis.

Never mind that Nick Saban had a guy who got his second DUI and missed zero games (Geno Smith)

Whoops!

Or how about Notre Dame suspending Michael Floyd for being twice the legal limit, and then lifting the suspension before their first game? (LOL)

The really sad thing is one of my friends posted a message to Facebook that there was a checkpoint at Hudson and High - apparently he should have been friends with JT.

Boy are my Michigan friends eating this up. Wow, they caught a under 21 year old that was under the legal limit - what a horrible kid. It is stupid - have a friend drive for cryin' out loud! This is a non-issue IMO - he'll serve his 1 game and move on.

DUI's suck. Very expensive.

The powers that be don't want people to drink and drive, but they allow restaurants and bars to sell alcohol. They allow advertisers to dominate the air waves.

Hypocritical!

I had someone close to me get a DUI. It sucked. My only advice was that yes, a lot of people drink and drive, but once you get caught, it can never, ever happen again.

JT got caught. I don't think he is a bad person for that. It doesn't compare to a guy like Cam Newton, who stole a laptop, cheated on an academic exam, and had his dad bidding him to the highest SEC bidder.......and then he won the Heisman. Pfffftttttt...........

JT just can't let it happen again. He has to find a driver. Do NOT EVER DRINK AND DRIVE AGAIN!!!!!
