Thanks - I watched, and "agitated" was a good word to describe his demeanor. I thought he looked and sounded stressed. He was almost out of breath while speaking, and the nose, eyebrows, and ear touching add to the sense of anxiety you get from watching and listening to him.

But I'm no expert on body language and I don't know anything about cocaine, so I can't draw any conclusions from it.

I think it's time to start Manziel. His only issue from the Kentucky game was missing a lot of open checkdowns, but that's to be expected of young players. What he's shown is that he can hold his own, and that's a good enough start.

Won't be mad if Pettine and co go back to McCown, he's playing well, but surely it's about time to find out what the kid has got.

What totally confounds me is that Pettine does not seem to be have agreed ever with the selection of Manziel.

Now, we know that both Farmer and Pettine were with the Browns for the months prior to the draft.

If there was any disagreement about the selection, they both should be gone.

Wish for once we could have a young QB that the Head Coach actually likes...

same ol' stuff... just a different day. Manziel, Weeden, and McCoy, there was always the story where someone either in the front office or coaching staff didnt like the selection.

Pettine, Chud, Shurmur, Mangini... rghhhhhhh

I hate this FO as much as the next guy, but to be fair about your point above, this is exactly what happens when you continue to draft unproven and fringe "projects" at the QB position. What QB have we drafted out of....Frye, Quinn, McCoy, Weeden, Manziel that was a SURE-FIRE top of the draft type talent? None of them were. And that naturally causes people to have very divided opinions on whether they "think" they can "make it" or not. That's just human nature IMO.

The only sure-fire QB we've had since the return is Couch and we put a JV HS team around him (hyperbole, but not by much).

Which matters little without accuracy (which comes from form/technique -- which one has and one doesn't) but I'll concede the point on the grounds that one will be able to maintain their arm strength throughout their career (again due to form and repeatability) and one won't (already has elbow issues).

I already stated how much more lateral quickness and balance Wilson has compared to Manziel, so we'll have to disagree here. Manziel had escapability in college....not so much at the NFL speed level.

True. Except one is happening only when forced to by the play or position he's in from time to time and the other is because his throwing motion is garbage and very inconsistent from throw to throw.

Wilson might be the best I've EVER seen at this. Trying to put Manziel in that category.....man I dunno. Talk about a reach. I haven't seen much of this from Manziel in the pros other than the random chicken scramble.

Ah the ol "clutch" argument. Anybody with a knowledge of analytics knows there is no such thing as the clutch. Players play at their talent level. The idea of the "clutch" is nothing more than fans projections of players performance during important situations, where their performance follows the normal randomness based on their talent that any other game situation would.

Michael Jordan was not "clutch". He was good. Just because he was good at important times didn't make him clutch...it made him...good, just like at any other time of the game.

I'll give you this one. It's one of the very few things Manziel actually does well. At least when he doesn't have his back turned to the play and is running for his life like a chinese fire drill.

I don't buy that for one minute. Perhaps analytics don't take into account the increased stress level of a last second field goal, or a bowler needing to strike out in the 10th frame to win or lose a game. Some players can rise above their talent level while others crumble due to the pressure...
