Y'all think The pacers are good enough to make 6-8 in the east? they look decent so far. Yup. Vogel is a great coach and they have veteran talent. Not that hard to make it in the east. I think the Knicks will really challenge them. They're actually a solid team from what I've seen. They need to get rid of Fisher though.

Pacers are more perimeter oriented and the Knicks have better front court players.

its funny we struggled mightily shooting the ball again tonight yet still find a way to do just enough to win. Love had a bad game and still ended up with 22/19...thats crazy. Love has really stepped up his defense. I'm a little concerned how easy we give up dribble penetration. But this game is another example, someone different every game comes out and puts the team on their back. You're right about the shooting. If we could hit our open threes and free throws at a reasonable clip, we'd be blowing teams out at the same pace as the Warriors. Lebron is probably the worst offender too. I believe he's something like 20% from three and 60% from the free throw line. Yet, we're moving the ball so well and getting such high-percentage shots this season, that it hasn't mattered. Delly and TT are clockwork with that pick-and-roll alley-oop play. They are trying to make this Lob City II at this rate. Mo looked good distributing the ball today too. Like someone said, it's funny to think that both of these guys will be coming off the bench in a few weeks. TT, Andy, RJ, Delly and Mo could probably beat a number of starting squads.

Drummond has ascended to rebounding God. He had 27 rebounds yesterday and he's averaging 20/20 for the season.

My only problem with SVG is that he never really helped Dwight develop an offensive game. He just ran the same pick and rolls. That's fine when playing average and bad teams, but that gets exposed versus good teams. Drummond is at least trying to show a jumper, so that's more promising than anything Dwight ever tried.
I really don't see how on earth they'd compete with Cleveland. Outside of Drummond they're literally outmatched at every position including bench. Detroit still has a long way to go.

I don't think they have any chance at competing either. The one area they have a huge advantage (other than center) is at coach. SVG is one of the best in the league. I think Blatt is, potentially, also good, but he is held captive by LeBron. From what I've read, Drummond tried a few hook shots in his last game (against Portland). He doesn't even need to be good at the hook shot, just competent.

Warriors look incredible right now. It seems like they're ascending as players and a unit.
That's scary. I would honestly fear peaking too soon.. you can't sustain this for 6 months can you? And the Cavs this year, with a full offseason and the roster moves they've made... it wouldn't be both teams at 100%.. the Cavs would be 120% of what they would have been last year even with Love and Kyrie.

J/C ......
It's kind of funny ..... a lot of the "experts" assumed that the Cavaliers would struggle right off the bat, because of the injuries, especially Kyrie missing so much time right away .... and having to work in new players, like Mo and Jefferson into major minutes, and Thompson missing all of the pre-season ...... and so on ..... but instead they have come out really strong at 6-1.
Many figured that the Cavaliers would really struggle right out of the gate, and maybe play around .500 ball until we got Kyrie and Shump back, and Thompson worked his way back into form. Instead, the rest of the team has really stepped up.
It is really encouraging how the backups have stepped up and really delivered.

Jeff Teague literally slapped a T-Wolves player in the face yesterday. I've always heard he's kinda dirty, but subtle about it. Whereas Dellavedova is I guess "more open." Teague is a cheap shot artist. Makes me glad we swept them last year.

I'm starting to think we deliberately coast, just to make things interesting. Down nine with seven minutes left, we just flipped the switch and went on a 18-3 run.
We've been pretty careless with the ball though. Lebron and Mo have had great games, but they both have 5 turnovers each.

I think if this team stays healthy (specifically Lebron, Love and Kyrie) it should seriously coast into the second round of the playoffs. This team is built for a championship this year...

we need to defend better for sure. Our guards give up dribble penetration so easy, but man what a game.. It's weird watching a cleveland sports team losing but fully expect them to win in the end.. Blatt has the easiest job in world coaching this team..lol

We've been pretty careless with the ball though. Lebron and Mo have had great games, but they both have 5 turnovers each. I can see them doing this as well, just to put themselves in different situations to see how everyone reacts, I also see nothing wrong with it and would be glad they did..figure it out now. If you notice too, it seems like we do it with different lineups all the time too. Mo might have been the best FA signing in NBA outside of aldridge, without him I'm not sure we're even at 500 let alone 7-1, and to think he's going to be on the bench. He's so smooth. Outside of today hes brought his assists to turnovers to a really good place and he's not forcing things. I think on a different team tonight he presses and probably gets 40+, he was dialed in today

Nobody really talks about the Clippers here. I think it's just the national media trying to drum up attention for a mid-November game.

Most LA fans would rather lose with a terrible Kobe than part ways with him. I've never seen a fanbase more delusional about a player.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Living in the thick of Kobe-worshipville, I don't find it sad one bit. I actually forked out quite a bit of dough to see Cavs vs Lakers this year. Should be able to get courtside seats by the middle of the third-quarter.
