trade discussions, playing hardball w/one of your best players while giving huge money to a stiff, leaked reports, replacing young players w/guys making their last stand, interference from the front office on coaching decisions......

What a great environment to work in. I wonder how all of this will affect free agency?

Sounds like your describing all 32 NFL teams

Unbelievable...you go ahead and pretend all you wish.

Just the fact that you would put up Rappaport original story as some proof that the door is still open that we were shopping JT. When the majority of the details were basically kindly called out as mistaken journalism...and Rappaport hasn't recanted anything that was proven to be totally incorrect. Unless Joe Thomas and his agents are liars.

The Broncos needed a Left Tackle for their SB quest. We didn't fail as we had no set goals we just took the call and listened. Guaranteeing the contract had nothing to do with its failure but there is no face to save on Farmer's end...none at all but Elway had to save some face - errr yeah JT wanted his contract guaranteed. I understand the displeasure Farmer's body of work...I don't agree with it all but I understand it. But some stuff just has nothing to do with Farmer messing up this is one of them.

jmhobservation. Don't expect a reply from me on this Mac...I ain't reading your posts on this thread - its gone beyond a discussion.

Besides ..... Thomas is one of, if not the best LT in the NFL.

If he was traded, why would he want his contract guaranteed? If he was released, he would go into the free agent market, and get at least 1 1/2 times what he is making on his current deal. ($8 million)

Further, why would a team give up a 1 and a 2 only to cut the player they traded for?

The whole story makes no sense.
