All kicking off right now, multiple areas, football stadium, restaurants, Eagles of death metal concert where apparently there are 100 hostages being killed one by one and the place is rigged with explosives. Reports of up to 60 dead and the French have closed borders.

I'm tipping Islamic extremists.

They are taking forever to storm the theater. It is making me mad. Everyone will be dead before they get in there.

Just a quick critique on the president's speech:

"Life, liberty, and um.........................the pursuit of happiness"

Did you really have to think twice about that?

Gonna go out on a limb and predict that this is being done by "refugees" that recently came to France.

Also, I would not be surprised to see this kick off in other cities across Europe in the near future.

First thing I thought of as well, and we're bringing how many here?

There is no way to protect against something like this other than to close your borders.

no, she's not.

one of the biggest problem she has is she's still trying to show europe they aren't nazi's. I dunno if you was aware, but germans still are scared to even fly their flags in public, because of that. so that's why she's so open to bringing immigrants in.

however, this chick is kicking out germans who are on government assistance, out of their homes just to fill it in with refugees.

no matter what, the ONE thing a government shouldn't be doing is taking care of other people over their own citizens.

She's a tart. The whole world panders to the Islamic invasion and she is one of the worst offenders, its disgusting. At least the the Russians still have the stones to tell people where to step off.

Forgive me for saying this but please remove your head from the sand. Seriously.

They were shouting 'Syria' and 'Allahu Akhbar' and one was claiming to have been recruited by ISIS.

It will happen here. Probably sooner rather than later. And, more than likely, we'll be told it's our fault. Mark my words. I hope and pray I'm wrong.

there's reports that are all over the place.

one is that some heard the terrorist speaking fluent french.

other articles say the crowd over heard "this is for syria!!" before it all went down.

Either way, it's a problem. when the French government chooses to completely shut down the borders, that should be a hint into who they thought were responsible, or at least who had knowledge of this going down.

What blatant terror and my prayers will be with those people tonight...

Unfortunately, you are probably right. The price we will continue to pay is the continual loss of freedom - as we look to the Government to further 'protect us' by taking away more of our rights..

Attacks like this of pure cowardice with people who are willing to kill others at the expense of the own life..there will never be a 'free society' within that framework I think..fear won't allow it.

Mean people suck...

One of my companies offices is in the Bataclan neighborhood, and it's been a crazy evening trying to sync up with that... so far everyone is safe that I know of there.

I think this is only the tip of the iceberg and the death toll is going to climb a fair bit. Part of France's State of Emergency is suspending freedom of press so it's going to be hard to gauge what the toll figures are for a while.

I won't apply this to this event because I don't have many facts yet and everything is speculation at this point... but for some, it's never the right place or the right time to give your honest opinion if it might upset people.

A lot of people have been reporting for weeks that this was not a refugee crisis in Europe, it was an invasion... we shall see how this plays out.

A year ago on a french video game forum, someone posted a comment predicting the attacks on this day, and that thread was bumped a few days before today with a reminder.

"It says (translated to English):

There will be a series of attacks starting from this famous date (November Friday 13th) Be careful of ALL vehicles, like planes, trains, metro,... And public places I have my sources Enjoy

The thread gets then bumped last week with the following

Post before the attack with kalash (Kalashnikov)"

From Reddit. The link is in the second comment of the user

https://www.reddit.com/user/BananenMatsch

Saw this on another forum, post was made back in Sep 2014 warning about Friday Nov 13, then as the post said, it was bumped a few days ago. The significance is that Nov 13 is the date the AK47 was created, and the post that bumped the thread was translated in english to say: "Post before the attack with kalash (Kalashnikov)."

The original thread on the french forum has been deleted and only the cached version is available.

This was after the attacks, right? In fairness, something like this could shake anyone, and make someone forget even the simplest of things. I am not going to blast the president over something like that under these circumstances.

People often wonder if evil truly exists, and I believe that actions like these attacks show that it, indeed, does. My condolences to those who lost loved ones today in the name of hatred. I pray for those who lost loved ones today, that God will comfort them and bring them some degree of peace, even in the midst of tragedy.

His teleprompter forgot?

The French President says Islamic State behind these cowardly attacks on civilians and it's an act of war.

Islamic State claims responsibility for the attacks.

First thing I thought of as well, and we're bringing how many here?

Too many.

10,000 Syrian refugees just arrived in New Orleans, to be resettled by Catholic Charities.

This article contains a list of the potential 180 cities where they could end up. In Ohio that includes Akron, Cinci, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo.

This is just the first wave, I'm sure most of these young able bodied men are just wanting a better life.

Those aren't the people we need to worry about.

The entire world just stopped on the 'dime' of 8 people committing these atrocities.

Only 8.

Eight.

Hope this is sinking in.

Before the calls for warm fuzziness and inclusiveness start ask this question.

Which of your neighbors (or even your own) lost loved ones can you bring back?

Sad day.. Some news outlets are calling it unprecedented.

Did they forget about 9/11.

On a side note, when I saw the title of the thread, I wonder how long it would take for someone to find a way to link Obama in a negative way....lol

4th post in. wow.. That's gotta be a record

Like the Haitians who came over here to escape the violence they were enduring..

So what happens.. they settle in South Miami and do what ?

They turned the streets and neighborhoods into gang riddled violent crime. If your leaving a place for safety then why in the hell do you come to America and bring your violence to our streets and live the way you did there ?

Insanity. Who thought this would be a good idea? Whom, exactly, do these Washington DC assclowns think they represent, Americans or Syrian refugees? Meanwhile, the Capitol elites - Dems and Repubs alike - wonder where candidates like Donald Trump come from.

you realize that trump or anybody else would've done the same thing, right?

it's all lip service. they would be coming regardless of who or what political party the president is.

I realize no such thing. I'm actually pretty sure they would not be coming here if he were Prez. I have no love for Trump. I think he's bombastic and uninformed on many issues; I think he's macho to a fault, and I admit to being worried that he'll have access to the nuclear codes. But candidates like Trump arise when people feel like no one is listening to them, and that common sense in government has skipped town.

How and why is this a foregone conclusion? Why can't our president and Congress - regardless of party - be advocates for Americans and not Syrian refugees? Why can't our government just say "not our problem."? Let them go to Saudi Arabia, or Jordan, or Iraq, or freaking Russia. I don't care. We can't even take care of our own indigent population, and now I read we may be taking in as many as 200,000 Syrian refugees. God only knows how many of them will be jihadis, because we sure won't know.

They can't say "not our problem" because we caused it.

please, learn the history.

The hell we did. They attacked us. Were mistakes made following that attack? Sure they were. But that doesn't mean it has to be an unbroken chain of mistakes. Break the chain, walk away. Leave them to their medieval world view; let them kill each other to their hearts' content - but protect our damn borders and sovereignty. That is Washington's only job.

when did the Syrians attack us?

last i checked, they were in a civil war, and we decided to stick our noses in it.

Cause and effect. Unfortunately most of these people have no clue what you're talking about and refuse to do their own research. You got people who have never and would never pick up a rifle in defense of this country yet feel they have the solution to stop international terrorism. They can't even stop gangbangers in their own town. This whole situation angers me simply because we should have never got involved in the Middle East and two once we did, like Vietnam the Soldiers were held back from completing the mission.

I have no clue who did this, and if counter Intel taught me anything I will wait for the facts to come out before I assume anything. Knee jerk reactions do us no good. As Americans allot of us make fun of the French, but take it for someone who lived there and served shoulder to shoulder with French Commandos, they are not as wimpy as we make them out to be.

Prayers go out to the victims and they're families.

You know very well that I was talking about radical Islam, whether ISIS or AQ, and not whatever nation-state they currently reside in, or resided in before. The truth is we have no idea who we giving safe harbor to when we take in these refugees.
