Well, let's back it up a step or 2... instead of just withholding sex from them until they put the guns away, why not have more self respect and not get involved with those who live the criminal lifestyle in the first place? Not every black man in the inner city is a gang banger. There are many who try to live a decent way and would actually be around to raise a child vs. spending half the kid's life in jail.

Obama (and other Dems) says mum on inner city violence, but let a bunch of white kids get wasted at a university and he's all in front of the cameras. I wholeheartedly disagree with his stance on gun control, but I could at least respect it if he framed his argument around the communities who are subjected to the most gun related violence.

Two reasons.. 1. in an attempt to show that gun control doesn't work and 2. to show that black on black crime is taking far more black lives than the occasional quick draw cop.

White people have never cared about inner city problems and still don't. Hell, a lot of conservative policies implemented by Reagan helped destroy inner cities. I've never even seen a conservative on here feign sympathy for the inner youth of Chicago, instead they just point out the ineffectiveness of gun laws. Please.

I'm white. I care about inner city problems. But anytime whites comment on inner city problems, we get told we don't have a clue what we're talking about, and get ridiculed and shoved to the side.

And trust me, there's a lot of poor white people also. It's not like blacks have the poor market cornered.

Well the local homeless shelters, missions and soup kitchens here in Toledo are funded and staffed by predominantly white Christian entities and people.
