Let's rephrase that. Cousins is playing better than we all expected, but is still not good. His stats are padded by two great games against two of the worst defenses in the league (Tampa Bay and New Orleans).

Good for him though.

Then how do you explain Cassel, Matt Moore, Matt Schaub, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Charlie Whitehurst, Kellen Clemens, Dan Orlovsky, Shaun Hill, Matt Flynn, Drew Stanton and Tarvaris Jackson.

They are all NFL QBs with some level of NFL winning experience who are also not as football dumb as Brandon Weeden.

Yet Weeden has career numbers equal to or better then Clemens, Whitehurst, Orlovsky, and Stanton.

RG3's contract is for 16 million next year. He's going to be cut in the off season. Colt and Cousins are both UFA's next year too. What's weird is another team is in worse shape than we are at QB.

It will be interesting to see if they resolve their problems before we do. I bet they will...

cousins has been decent.. their big dilemma is that if Cousins finishes ok, do they resign him at closer to starter money or do they try to make the splash in the draft. Its very similar to the decision we will have to make with Manziel if he finishes the year strong, do we stand pat (we don't need to resign him yet) or go for the upgrade.

He has played OK this year, but I would not classify it as well. I see a moderately competent QB, but he does nothing really special on the field. He had a great game against the Saints, but who hasn't this year? Other than that, and his game against the Bucs, he has really been exceedingly average. He has a great completion %, (over 67% of his passes completed) but given that gaudy number, he should have a higher yards/attempt average than he does.

242 of his 333 passes have been thrown 10 yards in the air, or less. In passes thrown more than 10 yards in the air, he has gone 35-91, for only 38%.

He has 7 TD and 0 INT in 2 games against Tampa Bay and New Orleans. These 2 teams have combined to allow 47 TD passes, while intercepting only 11 passes. In his other 7 games, he has 7 TD and 9 INT. He also plays in a down NFC East.

His OL does a great job of protecting him, and the Skins can run the ball, both of which help any QB.

I see him as being very average, to below. What has he done that leads you to say he is playing well? I have only seen him once this year, but I came away extremely unimpressed. He reminded me a lot of Colt McCoy when he was here .... throwing short, shorter, and shortest, and playing "carefully", not to make mistakes, and rarely making plays.

You don't watch the games and read stats. You make things up. His OL is good? Yeah, that is why RGIII got sacked so much.

I should have been more clear. Cousins has really improved as the season has progressed.

Your opinions on qbs have always been way off. You rely on stats and don't watch the games.

'Brandon Weeden: Jerry Jones will watch the playoffs on his couch'

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...partner=ya5nbcs

Posted by Michael David Smith on December 29, 2015, 9:01 AM EST

Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones cut Brandon Weeden this season and had some negative things to say when he did it, claiming that the Cowboys would have won more games if they’d had Matt Cassel as their backup. Weeden heard that, and now he’s getting the last laugh.

Weeden, who went to Houston and on Sunday led the Texans to a win that all but locked up the AFC South, said in an interview with 107.7 in Oklahoma City that he’s been treated well in Houston, implying that he’s had more support than he did in Dallas.

“Obviously a lot of guys here got my back,” Weeden said. “Nate Washington said some really nice things after last week’s win, which I really appreciated. Everybody here has got my back. They understand how the league works. I think they were just as shocked as I was with some of the things that maybe Jerry or whoever was saying. It was kind of one of those things. But everybody here has my back. When it’s all said and done, that’s really all that matters.”

Weeden indicated that he’ll be glad to stick it to Jones.

“I mean yeah, absolutely. That’d be sweet. We get to play extra football and he’ll be watching on his couch. That’s what it’s all about. We’re playing for something,” Weeden said.

And that’s how far the Cowboys have fallen this season. They’re getting trash talk from Brandon Weeden, of all people, and there’s really nothing they can say in response.

Weeden isn't much of a QB, but regardless, it's great he got to say that. Pow!

Kinda funny he would say that considering he could be leading Dallas to the playoffs had he put them in a position to win more games.

He probably remembers that Brandon Weeden is 33 still hasn't won 10 games in his career and stops caring.

What the dullard is not thinking about is that with him leading the Cowboys they'd still be watching from the couch. He did nothing there. Nothing but embarrass himself, with he being the only one who doesn't see it.

That's a loaded question if your insinuation is that the team may elongate his not playing based on Manziel.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but with the concussion protocol now, the team doesn't have any say how long someone is out - it's 100% up to an independent dr, isn't it? [/quote]

loaded because it was loaded. billions of dollars at stake....loaded!

I`m good with Baker... Playoffs is good enough for me.
