What I think is this: this particular evangelist 'leader' has taken an act of wanton Evil perpetrated against ordinary people.... and ascribed it as an "act of God" to further his own ends here on Earth.

As far as I'm concerned, he might just as well have shouted "Allahu Akbar" after that crazy tirade... because he's essentially saying the same things that ISIS is using as their justification for spraying a public place with hundreds of bullets.

And he has followers. Just like the crazy Islamic clerics who promote these heinous acts of Evil.

What this guy is saying is no different than the very thing that is creating new ISIL recruits. THOSE people don't stand a chance, either. The instant they 'buy in' to this stuff, they are lost to all reason. It's why they are willing to do the crazy **** they do.

I'm asking you this as a personal favor: please don't fence with me on this subject. I can play along most of the time, but I really can't this time. The results of this kind of demagoguery are still too raw, too real for me to play word games right now. Blood is drying on Paris streets because misguided people took "God's mission" to vicious, ungodly extremes. And they were indoctrinated into this mindset by some of the very same things this American citizen is saying. Things that you are now using to challenge me.

The power brokers behind the Paris ISIL attacks have usurped the teachings of Islam to do Satan's work... and this- 'person' has done the same thing on our shores. He doesn't need someone like you lending even fake legitimacy to his cause by obfuscating the facts to suit his own agenda. You are too smart to be his tool.

I may not attend church on a weekly basis, but I know evil when I smell it. This guy is Taliban under the guise of Jesus Christ. He stinks of it... and one whiff of him is more than enough for me.

While not as nutty as this guy I have run across more then one church who accepted me so to speak, then when I showed up to a church function in a short sleeve shirt with some tats showing.

The only other thing in life that has given me the willies was when my Grandmother took me to church and they broke out in tongues...and the pastor said the message was telling him it was calling me to come up a feel the Holy Spirit.

Yes, Pentecostal churches can be very intense at times. It's why I never invite people before they watch a service online. It's too much to take in all at once. They need to know what to expect before jumping in to something like that.

First of all, I know that English fans were banned from international soccer games for a long time. That was due to hooliganism. 39 people were killed in a match in Belgium with England, when the hooligans started pushing towards the field. That's from memory, not an internet search.

Most people in the US will think Hitler over Coors when hearing the name Adolph, and that association sticks in their minds. If you've ever heard the saying, 'you never get a second chance to make a first impression', then you know a person named Adolph will be immediately associated with Hitler. My concern is when looking at the World these days I see the level of violence increasing and I also see many cracks developing in Human Society as well as our local Society. This leads me to wonder if the Hand of God is at play or is it just Human nature that has brought us to this point.

If it is the Hand of God, it is important for us to consider all sides and if it is just Human nature, we get what we deserve.

There has been some version of a 'last days' ministry since the hour after The Son joined His Father... and always with the same observations about the disintegration of society. It's now been 2000 years, and folks are still tilting their heads to the sky in anticipation of the last trumpet.

It happens with every turn of a new century, the outbreak of a new major military conflict... even meteor showers. Most recent causal event that comes to mind: 9/11. We'd just survived Y2K, and now the skies were on fire above NYC... "the epicenter of finance, sin and worldliness."

Fear and concern based upon apocalyptic prophecy makes the populace susceptible to any and every wolf seeking to devour the righteous. I consider it an obligation of good people everywhere to root out and expose these hucksters for the evil destructive creatures they are. Stoking the fears of the innocent and ignorant to gain advantage and influence is the depth of cynicism and predation... and has ruined millions of lives over the years.

So..... imho, it's always been human nature... at its least honorable. It's always been here, and it ain't never goin' away.

I don't know about the pandering part. I think the politicians pander all the time..I guess it depends what topic or who they are pandering for and the voters of said party are just fine with it.

I don't want to get too into things with this preacher calling people devil worshipers but there is a certain degree of truth to it if you believe in God. The Bible says a man can not serve two masters. There is either God as your master or the devil/Satan/Lucifer/Baal/etc.

Most christians view the old testament as set in stone. Yet 600 years after Christ A false prophet called Muhammad decided he wanted his own version of the Old testament and to ignore or flat out change most of what christ teaches along with his disciples.

If your going to deffiles God's word and corrupt it to say whatever you want it to then that is the work of the Devil and not God. It is the devil that would want to twist and pervert the word of God. Therefore is a logical thinking mindset if the Muslim faith is spreading a perverted Bible then they are indeed worshiping the Devil instead of God.

If your master is not God then I doubt you will understand the point I am making. Still I don't like it when preachers try to create conflict instead of trying to resolve it. Tact and discretion are wonderful tools of intelligence. There are some things though that you just have to stand up for at times regardless of whose feelings you might hurt.

You know I was in a precarious situation with some muslim fellows who told me they believe Jesus is a true Prophet just not the Prophet.

I studied Islam for a bit..not to seriously get into it but to know thy enemy kind of thing.

I was actually quite surprised how much it had in common with Christianity..The old Testament anyway.

But where it lost me was the message their true Prophet stood for and the one I believed in stood for.

remember, there are a bunch of prophets in islam. ask any muslim as you know, Muhammad is just the one everybody remembers.

Jesus is also a prophet in islam, and he's also acknowledged as the son of God, they just don't believe he died on a cross for people's sins as christians do.

the only reason muhammad is so revered is because the complete ...divine? revelation? was made through him. thats it.

they're all ultimately based out of the old testament. any scholar and historian will tell you that.

but don't worry, in about a few minutes, or later on tonight, people (named YTown and Razor) will come out the woodwork saying how that isn't true, and that islam is perverted and all that.

It's nothing I haven't already said in this thread. Muslim pervert the scriptures with their own version that ignores the original texts. They did it deliberately to justify piracy and pillaging,raping, and killing their neighbors.

The greatest evil in the world is to take a truth and just slightly pervert it to where it loses all its meaning. Just like you state yourself, they claim Jesus is a prophet but then they ignore what he taught. They throw out the most important part of his existence which was to die on the cross for our sins and then overcome death so we can be forgiven and live with our Father in heaven. THAT is a big freaking deal right there.

There is no greater work of the devil than to trick people into giving up their eternal salvation.

Let Muslims believe and act on what Jesus taught when he said, ""I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus is being as BLUNT as it gets right there. He is not mincing words or hard to understand.

What about John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Everyone knows that verse but the Muslim teaching ignore and erase it. A lot of people forget to keep on reading the next two verses:

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

It is the work of the devil to destroy the teachings of Jesus. That is what Muslims do. They have edited both the OLD and the NEW testament scriptures and perverted them to their own ends. I don't know if I call them devil worshipers(lost certainly) but by deceiving millions of people into not accepting Jesus as their lord and savior they are tricking a lot of people into being condemned. They are doing the devil's work by robbing people of their salvation.

This is why a true Christian could never accept the Muslim faith as anything but a disaster.
