I'm a Dantonio fan (he was the DC for the '02 Buckeyes Championship) so I wouldn't mind seeing either of them or Iowa in the playoffs.

Don't know how his schemes would translate to the NFL but I wouldn't mind seeing Dantonio as the Browns DC either.

Auburn is hanging in there, wonder how far Alabama would fall if they lost to Auburn.

What happens if Oklahoma and Notre Dame both lose, and Alabama loses the SEC Championship game to Florida next week? Is there any way there could be 2 Big Ten teams in the final 4 at the end of next weekend? Because, IMO, if the Buckeyes have the chance to play the Spartans again in the semi or the final, they destroy them.

I don't see any way that the big ten gets two schools in... If Florida beats bama they are in... If UNC beats Clemson they are in... Winner of big ten champ is in and then it comes down to either big 12 champ or Notre Dame... Just think the committee wants conference champions... You compare a one loss conference champion to the Buckeyes who lost at home and didn't win the conference...

If FSU beats Florida and Florida beats bama then that'd probably knock the SEC out so there might be a chance.. But that's the only way I see it

I don't see it if we're not conference champions. People were saying we didn't deserve to be in last year because other teams were better but hadn't won their conferences.
Sports talk around here (central Ohio) was saying we did deserve to be in because we won our conference.
It would be a weird miracle that got us in this year.

Funny bit of history though, when Illinois beat the Bucks in the shoe a few years back Earl Bruce got on the radio the Monday after with the afternoon guy and laid out what had to happen to get us back into the championship game and every last thing he said had to happen did and even one more thing just to put the icing on the cake.

'course LSU then went on to win the game.

It may be a few years from now. It would only add one game to the schedule before the title game right? Definitely make it more interesting.

The more teams you add, the harder it actually is to pick.

With all the schools in the country I can certainly believe that. But you could make the case to boil it down to just record and not 'strength of the win or loss' I suppose.

Of course I'm a homer but imo I can't see them not letting "The Defending National Champions" defend their title because they lost 1 game by a FG with zero seconds on the clock.

With only 2 undefeated teams as of now, I think it would be a miscarriage that they weren't in the final 4 to defend.

Thats the angle I'd play if I were Urban M in a presser tomorrow.

Looking at the teams in the top 8-10,anyone of the teams could end up a National Champ..

Imo..a 4 team playoff is weak.. As big as Collage football is, why do they not offer more exciting play-off games ?

Look at all the different sports,and how they have play-offs with more than four teams..It's exciting to see a 8th seed work up to a title game.

4 teams are fine. I don't think 2 loss teams and/or teams that didn't win their division deserve a chance and that is what you will get when you expand to 8. JMO

True and good point, but then I look at the NFL and see the 5-5 Colts leading their division..

I just would like to see a little more Collage Football, That's really my point. The Ohio state high school play-offs are still going, and I love watching it.

Great win by the Bucks today. It's more fun when Xichigan is supposed to be a decent team.

Play of the game was that penalty on the punt. Xich seemed to have the momentum and that was a big swing.

After that, it was all Bucks.

Absolutely it does. If Stanford wins that makes things interesting. We'd move up to 6th. The Big 10 will eliminate itself next week. So we'd be 5th after next week. If Stanford holds on and wins we're gonna need Clemson or Bama to lose next week.
