I really don't disagree with any of the points you've made, but I do believe you need to consider.....

There are very few venues left to the fan base to show their displeasure. Very few ways for them to send their message.

So while I agree with the points you make, I also understand that the fans want to find a way to send a clear message on their behalf. Their frustration has built to the point of no return and they are desperate to get their point across. So to that degree I understand their point as well.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Your points are logical, but I disagree w/them.

They raised ticket prices by as much as up to 40%. They have made one bone-headed move after another.

Do you really think the "bottom line" isn't about money? Filling the stadium; buying food, drink, and merchandise at obscene prices; and cheering for an inferior product on the field is mind-boggling in my estimation.

I am hoping for something really creative by the fan base this Monday. It's the only reason to watch the game.

Of course the "bottom line" is money. The owners haven't put up a billion to lose on their investment. Naturally it would be a good thing to have a winner as that would guarantee a full house...

Pit is right, what other options do the fans have? Everyone heard Haslam say no changes are going to be made for the front office. What that means is anyone's guess but I see it as other organizations are making changes and don't accept losing but it's ok for the Browns to keep getting beat by 20+ each week. If they keep selling out game after game what does Haslam care as long as he's making money? 2-14 let's raise ticket prices again next year Jimmy!!! I get the sense that Haslam feels the same way about the Browns fans as he does all of those truck drivers he ripped off, he doesn't care about winning or the fans just the almighty dollar.

I just turned down 2 free tickets. I went to a game last year and sat in the same seats.. They were amazing. No way I'm wasting my time and energy. I'll watch from home.

What's it say when a die hard fan gets free tickets (excellent seats) and turns them down? I think (hope) haslam is getting the message.

after paying for 50 yard line first row seats for the game against the Raiders..I'd rather get kicked in the testicles over and over then spend the money we did on travel lodging food outside the stadium..food and drink inside the stadium and the sheer feeling of I am wasting my money and time:/

I can only go by my sons..but they don't watch very often and thought I was punishing them when they was young to watch the game. They wear the gear and keep up through media but are not engaged with the team.

So it seems to me the Browns other then Cleavelander's have lost a whole g=damn generation of fans.

Last year was the first time in my life I turned them off right in the middle of the game..this year my apathy level is so high I watch I watch..got something else even remotely interesting to do..I do it.

And what I missed I come in and read this board to fill in the blanks.

Jesus fan for over 50yrs breathed and lived for Browns football ..now..If I'm somewhere that shows it today I'll watch if not I wont lose sleep over it. I don't know how people can stay interested in this team.

I stopped buying season tickets after the 2011 season. - A decision I don't regret.

Alec Scheiner referred to tickets being sold above face value on the secondary market last year and that is why the Browns raised season ticket prices last off-season. I couldn't believe some of the loyalty out there, as some season ticket holders went along with this and re-upped.

Check this out...
I thought it would be cool to see Monday night football, take my wife and daughter and have something different to do for a change. We were going to buy 3 tickets. My wife found 3 on eBay selling for 33.00 total (11.00 each). - I told her that was my limit. They ended up selling for 41.00 total to somebody else. - That, my friends is the state of this franchise.

Tickets in the "family zone-no alcohol" are selling for 9.50 each on stub hub right now.

My hat goes off to anybody who continues to buy season tickets at face value for this team. The Browns, and the NFL, should recognize these people in some way. - Documentary or something on the most loyal fans in sports.

Don't think he will. Last night's game, while not a full stadium, drew a fairly large and roudy crowd. They played it up in the stadium as well with frequent reminders to get loud on the jumbo, more frequently than other games and orange (disgusting) towels we were reminded to use.

I, myself, will not participate in anything so Steeleresque.

It was a show, most definitely, for prime time MNF. Still nothing like the 80s.

Haslam would have been satisfied, except with the outcome. :-)

I was listening on the radio on the way home from work. What was overall attendance like for the game?

I thought I caught a comment on the radio saying there were quite a few empty seats.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

there was, but the stadium still looked about 75% full.

that's a guess with the eye test, i'm not sure the actual numbers.

but it definitely wasn't jackonsville jaguars numbers. they are straight up fairweather.

THIS is the ONLY thing that may work. I know it is not easy, and it is not giving up, it is just the only way to truly send a message. thumbsup

See, that's what I'm hoping for now. Id like Haslam and the FO to be embarrassed by the attendance on MNF, but not Jacksonville embarrassed.
