Sound and fury signifying nothing....
The Seahawks were going to kick our ass regardless of any quote from Pettine, real or otherwise. At most this might give them some incentive to run up the score. Not like we haven't seen the Browns take a beating before. We are a 3 win team heading in to an off season of great uncertainty. What an out going HC says at one of his final press conferences means very little.

You have to also know what the question was and how it was worded. He probably had no other way to answer it then the way he did. Just right away they wish to make it a diss and controversial.

jmho Ah yes, blaming the media for Pettine putting his foot in his mouth (twice) this week. What he said about Wilson I can somewhat agree with, I just don't think he should have said it. When he called out the 49ers, that's just insulting and the wrong thing to say about an opposing team. But yeah I get ya.... if Pett is fired you'll be on here giving us your "truthful" opinions.

_ I was thinking the same thing. Maybe if we had good player on offense, we wouldn't need to fill the roster with ST players. As big of a waste Bowe has been, if they don't at least make him available they are fools. I see Gabriel going down early, and Benji s gong to be blanketed the whole game.

maybe Pettine WANT to make sure the seahawks will win. After all if he is being forced to start JM then setting him against a riled up defense helps prove JM ain't ready(IF and I mean IF he feels that way). He might want to ensure we lose for a better draft pick too. Hell who knows.
Either way a win for us only hurts us so count on JM to find some darn way to win ...

Pet's defense has given up over 30 pts in 8 games this year I like Johnny but I dont think he has 30 plus in him against a defense thats given up 13 pts total in last 2 games lol

Happens every time. Right up until a coach or GM is fired, EO loves every move they make. It's virtually impossible for them to make mistakes. Savage for instance was a genius. The savior of the franchise. Right up until the axe fell..... then EO could admit he was less than perfect. Same for Romeo, Mangini. Etc.

What the heck does that have to do with Pettine saying something that really was not locker room material and it was blown way out of proportion.
btw did you see the game. The game announcers actually said the same thing I did.
This isn't about excuses its just about the truth pure and simple.

Just thought that Pettine shoulda not said what he said, even if there's a ring of truth to it. Yeah it got somewhat blown up in the media, but it still comes back to Pettine doing something dumb.
What he said about the 49ers was worse - especially considering how his team's season has transpired.

Pettine knows very little about anything football related based on his game day management. Maybe he should shut his mouth and worry about his team...which sucks...in case anyone didn't know.
