Good game. My wife took the kids and dog to visit the inlaws tonight. I am watching the game, drinking beer and eating buffalo wing dip while sitting on the new couch...which is forbidden. Ha! I love my little moments.

Kirk Cousins has been a whole lot better than I ever thought he would be. (though I am still not sure there is a good team in the entire NFC East)

However, if I tally correctly, The Redskins have played only 3 teams who have a winning record with one game left in the season, and they were 0-3 in those games. However, there are only 12 teams in the entire NFL with a winning record.

There could, potentially, be 2 teams making the playoffs with a .500 record.

I don't know what to make of Cousins. He has been very good this season, but was among the worst QBs in the league last year. Has he developed or is this a Nick Foles-esque fluke? He is a perfect franchise tag candidate.

Either way, credit to him and the rest of Washington for their season. They were better than I ever expected they could be.

I think that the level of competition plays into things as well.

The Redskins have played 15 games, and only 3 against teams who currently have a winning record. They finish against Dallas, so unless a couple of teams win out, it will stand that they will have played 3 games against teams with winning records for the entire year.

Man, we will end the year having played 9 games against teams with winning records. (and Oakland and St Louis *could* still finish at 8-8, and if they do, in a league filled with parity, could give us a schedule with only 5 games against teams with a losing record)

Cousins gets a lot of grief, but he has played very well this season and he has improved as time has progressed.

Gruden took a lot of heat for benching RGIII and playing Cousins, but it was the right move.

I am happy for both of them.

Cousins was not good at the beginning of the season either, but they stuck with him and allowed him to progress.

It will be interesting to see if Gruden and Cousins are able to continue this upward projectory next year.

Yeah on the game last night, they showed some before and after and he really has improved. Yardage up, ints down and other things too. Poor start to yesterday, but he was able to get it going and played very well.

I wasn't sure if yesterday was a live game or not haha. Football on a Saturday?

I miss the networks showing two Saturday day games in December, between the end of the college season and the start of the meaningful bowl games. I remember one year, I think it was the late 80's, when NBC broadcast a game without announcers. Just crowd noise and a bottom of the screen graphic showing down-and-yards, the score, and qtr / time. I liked it.

For those hoping for the first pick in the draft, it looks like Weeden will start for Houston vs Tennessee today. Hoyer still in concussion protocol. Here's hoping the Texans "lose one for the Flipper".

I like Metlenberger, i think he can get the win today. The only question with Met is if he can stay healthy.

For those who did not see much in Cousins, he is getting better as a QB.

He is a lot better than where he started as a QB, int's are down, td's are up and he will be around for a while.

Maybe there is hope after all.

Rodgers is getting crushed by the Cardinals. The Packers receivers are getting no separation. Reminds me of our team.

Watching Rodgers hold the ball for 4+ seconds before taking a sack made me think of Josh McCown.

Yup. Except I give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt because he's the best QB I've ever seen.

I don't think I've ever seen Sherman beat for a TD before.

I've never seen two better corners than Revis and Sherman.
