If you read the original article, the investigation is part of a documentary. In the documentary a British Olympic athlete goes undercover to expose a doping ring.
Supposedly this Intern who has since stated that it was all false thought it was a hoax so he made up a list of names that might be believable to the Writer and see if he could trust him..not sure of the trust issues.
Al Jaheer got a hold of it whether it was sold to them or not??? and printed it. They have stated that it is not legit.
Manning is considering a law suit.

This was an investigative report and no one had knowledge of it besides the reporter and al Jazeera. There was no article that anyone was working on.
Sly did supply the reporter (for lack of a better term) with illegal peds. The reporter told Sly that he was planning on trying to get to the Olympics for the British team. Sly supplied the reporter with PEDs in hopes of getting into the European market, specifically soccer.
This is where Sly drops a bunch of accusations against Mike Neal, Clay Matthews, James Harrison and Dustin Keller. The most damning is against Dustin Keller. Sly says he went to HS with Keller and has been giving him PEDs since then. He brags about Dustin Keller's combine performance being influenced by PEDs. Keller performed amazing at the combine.
Sly said during his internship at the Guyer institute, where Manning did receive treatment at in 2011, that he knew that they were giving him hgh to help recover from his surgery.
Sly has since recanted the entire story after Al Jazeera asked him. He says he made up the entire thing to entice the Reporter into investing into Sly's company.
