General question for the college football guys...
What do you make of Goff's OC's statement? I don't think I've ever seen that before. Kind of unusual, no? Trying to drum up interest for his guy? What did he say?

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM my two cents...

So it is what it is...and I hope OSU curb stomps them.

The targeting rule will not be going away. Actually it will get even more strict in the future. There are many lawsuits out there against each conference in college football just like it is against the NFL for concussions.
The NCAA conferences are trying to show that they are very serious about concussions and are using the targeting rule to prove it. Like it or not you better get use to it.

I agree with your post....but what is happening for me...is I'm not going to get used to it...Ill just watch less and less. Its been happening for me the last couple years..and i used to live and breath football...and if the Browns keep losing like they have been..I'll be done with football completely and find something else to entertain myself with. I know it doesnt matter if I watch or not...they will make their money and the beat goes on..but I kind of dont like where the game is going even though I understand why.

Florida just scored on an insane trick play.
QB went up to the line to "change the protection."
RB gets direct snap and runs to his left.
WR runs to his right to get the reverse.
WR looks like he can run in for a TD, instead he underhand tosses the ball to a wide open player in the endzone.

I know it doesnt matter if I watch or not...they will make their money and the beat goes on..but I kind of dont like where the game is going even though I understand why. I understand and actually I used to feel the same way. Until a few years ago. A child of mine played college athletics not football. Got a 5th concussion playing their basketball and it took 4+ months to get back to normal. For a week it was like trying to communicate to an person that was only half there. She had to stay in dark rooms. Could not be around loud places. Even watching her basketball team play with buzzers would make her sick. It was actually an NFL team doctor that was treating her that told her to never play ball again. He said another concussion could be devastating because each time it happens it gets worse. Luckily for her the school she went to kept her on scholarship until she graduated. My opinion of rules like targeting changed with what happened to her. I played alot of football and played with a concussion myself once and thought it was the right thing to do. I always taught her to be tough and play thru things like that, But, listening to that doctor speak to us changed everything. That ejection is there to protect Bosa just as much as the QB. In the future he will keep his head up when making that play.

I agree and it seems like Zeke has not been running the ball...but I'm split screening the game while playing Destiny with the kid and typing on here in between game time...so I could be wrong...there was a good run.

I didn't see the play live, just rewound it and found it. Sorry, that's what they used to call spearing way back when I first started watching back in 1980. Didn't even try to go to one side. Have to say that was rather stupid on Bosa's part.

I was really looking forward to watching Jaylon Smith and Joey Bosa since both are legitimate first pick options for the Browns.

Stealh Bomber just flew over my house. Did you see it? Couldn't have heard it because it's a 'stealth' bomber! But seriously, that had to be cool! I've seen the SR-71 in flight and take off one time when I was on Okinawa. Very cool!

My house is about ten miles east of Pasadena so it flies directly over as it goes back out to the desert.

Really hope the Hawkeyes pull this off. Would like the Big 10 to look better than just one or two teams in the Bowl season.

After this game with Stanford, Ferentz might consider moving to the NFL.
