Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel clearly doesn’t get it. He’s been benched, gone to rehab, benched again but he still continues to pull public stunts and be a part of videos that show him drinking.

His latest cameo shows him and a friend drinking Four Loko and rapping. He wasn’t out and about or hanging out with beautiful women, so we have to wonder why he’d even snap a video of this.

Manziel isn’t the only NFL player that drinks alcohol, that we know. But he’s one of the only ones that continues to be included in incriminating videos that have been circulated on social media. We have to wonder if he’ll ever learn.

Johnny Manziel’s antics might be last straw for the Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns could be in the market for a quarterback after another video surfaced of Johnny Manziel partying Monday.

Manziel recorded his first career 100-yard rushing game in the Browns’ 17-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. In less than 24 hours, he was back in the limelight. The video, courtesy of Newsnet5 in Cleveland, shows Manziel holding the camera at a party rapping and drinking a “Four Loko”.

The troubled Browns QB was busted last month for lying about a similar video. Manziel’s on the field talent is easy to see, and he has made tremendous strides from last season. Although, the improvements might not be enough to negate his stupidity and immaturity off the field. The Browns have given Johnny Manziel multiple chances to take over and become the starter.

Manziel’s numbers not enough

The talented signal caller has respectable numbers this season. Manziel has thrown for 1,500 yards, seven touchdowns and just five interceptions while rushing for 230 yards on the ground. He also showed an improved ability to throw from the pocket. For instance, in week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers he completed 33-of-45 passes for 372 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

It would be a tough reality for Manziel, because he has come so far on the field in just one year.

He has one game left to prove his case as the starter in 2016. Despite his play, It might be too late as college quarterbacks Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch are likely to enter the 2016 draft.

I don't remember him admitting to anything, do you have that quote? But yes, he did check himself into a rehab center.




How is it obvious? Has he been arrested for a DUI? Has he been arrested at a club for lewd behavior? Has he been seen falling down because he was too drunk? Has he failed any drug tests? Has he been suspended by the NFL even one time? Have there been recent reports about him missing practices? Have there been recent reports of him being late for practices? Have there been recent reports of him falling asleep during meetings? Are we hearing negative reports from coaches and teammates about his lack of preparation like we were last year? I don't think it is as "obvious" as you claim it is. I think your dislike for him clouds your perception.




There have been--and still are--a ton of qbs who drink. This just in.............drinking is NOT illegal.

You don't remember how I never liked Wright because of his history in college? You don't remember the fights I had w/Eric Wright's dad? You don't remember him wanting to fight me? You don't remember me getting suspended for arguing w/him? You don't remember taking his side in the matter?

You don't remember getting upset w/me for coming up w/the nickname "Leon" for Edwards? You don't remember defending him?

IF they bench or trade/ship JFF over this latest video the fan base will lose it's mind! I predict huge backlash if this happens.

My problem with this latest JFF (and its a huge one).

Why on earth is he drinking four loko? It's a a very cheap malt liquor and basically a wine cooler.

Be a man drink double IPA or at least one of those fancy blueberry beers.

If you freeze the video right at the beginning when the can is in view, you can see that it is clearly a reflection (camera must be posting mirror image) of the black cherry four loko (google image search) can. CHS identified it first on here.

correct you see 1 can in the video and thats it. He is also not drunk in the video. He is just being stupid like young kids do.

The thing is to me that he went to rehab for a reason. Was it for beer or something worse like cocaine(rolled up bill remember). Lets go with the lesser evil and say he went to rehab for being a drunk and his anger issues his dad talked about. To say he is a recovering alcoholic who can't seem to keep a beer out of his hand says a few things.

1)He has not made football #1 in his life yet.
2)He is still immature.
3)He has no clue that he is destroying his career and livelihood or else he flat out doesn't care.
4)He lies to others and/or to himself and is not trustworthy.

IMHO 1,2, and 3 are fixable if he cared enough to do so.

That 4th one though is a dealbreaker for a position that team mates need to be able to trust in the most. If you can't trust your leader then you will never really follow him. To me this is why we have to draft a new QB because you can't change the core of a person into something they are not.

If they don't like a QB in this draft then sure give him another season to have one last shot at growing up and turning things around.They better trade down and rack up some first round pick so they can trade up to get one next season though if Manziel fails. However if there is a QB in this draft that they like then it's time to draft him and give him the keys to the franchise especially while Joe is still around to protect his blind side. It might even help convince Mack to stay. No more QB dancing.

If the Oline is the least of the Brown's worries. JM is the second least of the Brown's worries. Moving along.

There was a hypothesis on the radio yesterday that the video was a snapchat video whuch is intended to be private and is automatically deleted after the recipient has reviewed it. The theory is there is software that will record these brief, private clips. It's likely he sent a private video that was never intended for public consumption and a "friend" dimed him out.

Guy needs new friends.

Eric Wright was a Rapist? I didn't know that.. Or perhaps I didn't remember it. Was he arrested, did he have a trial and was he found guilty? Just wondering.

I did a quick check,, maybe I missed it, but it was in 2005 that he was suspected of Rape, but from what I can see, he wasn't charged, therefore, no rape conviction. Not that I found anyway.

they figured he had to have a concussion to post another drinking video online after the last incident. I like Johnny the football player but he is a dumbass lol.

Not sure if it's been posted here, but I just got an alert from WKYC that Manziel is being checked for a concussion.

I remember the play where he may have got concussed. He was running down the sideline and took a big shot from behind. He got up and looked really groggy for the next couple of plays. He was also having a hard time catching his breath.

If he cannot play, what a crap show Pettine created by trotting McCown out there every week.

No long-term vision for this team, and definitely the coaching staff and FO being on different pages.

lol yeah my tin foil hat said the same thing initially. But then Vers brought up that play and it makes sense.

I think he landed on the ball with it in his gut knocking the wind out of him. Im not saying he didnt hit his head too, he was winded for sure. He battled hard.

The pass he completed down the right side to barnidge, he was drilled and his head bounced off the dirt.

I'm hoping Eric Wright's dad shows up again. Keep it up, Vers!

Johnny Manziel has, for the most part, been a pleasant surprise on the field, but he's had his off-field issues. The latest: a Christmas Eve video holding what appears to be a can of Four Loko and dancing in front of a Mike Evans jersey. But Browns coach Mike Pettine said that the second-year quarterback won't be punished because he was at home, and unlike previous instances, the trust between coach and player wasn't violated.

But for Manziel to play Sunday against the Steelers in the season finale, he'll need to overcome the latest obstacle: a concussion.
