well OSU shouldn't lose this one, bummer about Bosa though
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

The call was the right call, although we see quite often a defensive player hit someone on the digits with the top of his helmet, and nothing gets called.
To be fair, it's safer both parties to hit face up. Hockey players are taught at a young age to accept hits, or to go into boards (if you have to) face first, and not top of the head first to impact. There's that frightening small fraction of a chance of hitting the wrong spot and ending up paralyzed.
I love how Zeke did his celebration after that touchdown.
I'm really going to miss this outgoing group of Buckeyes. When you place all the seniors, and juniors who declare together, it's going to be impressive. Legendary.
Zeke, Thomas, Bosa, Decker, Apple, Bell, Powell, Lee, Cardale, etc..
And of course Braxton Miller. One of my favorite Buckeyes. Class act. To suck it up, and take one for the team, and not become a problem after you had your job ripped from you during a horrible injury.. I wish that guy nothing but the best.
I thought Notre Dame played a tough game. Sad to see Jaylon Smith get hurt. Their offense really hung in there, but it's pretty easy to know that if you don't stop Ohio State's running game, it's going to be a LONG day.
Special teams yesterday for Ohio State were straight fire.
Urban Meyer will have his plate full for next year. I know they have so much talent flowing in, but that is quite a bit to replace.
I know this season was a bummer, but that 2014 run will go down in history as one of the greatest.

The call was correct within the rules, I just don't like the rule.
Enforce a 15 yard penalty, but throw the guy out of the game?

Next year will be rough. Here's our only returning starters. Good news is that this will set us up for a title run in 2017.
J.T. Barrett Billy Price Pat Elflein Tyquan Lewis Raekwon McMillan Gareon Conley
This massive exodus opens up 22 schollies though.

This massive exodus opens up 22 schollies though. 2016 will probably be a lot like 2014. I know they won the whole thing, but there were some obvious growing pains early on. Everything started coming together pretty nice once B1G opened up. They'll be talented, but you just wonder how long it will take.

So much speed!
I really think JT is gonna be really good next year. Cardale is out of his shadow. Not that there was any animosity, but he knows now that the team is going to be counting on him.
My biggest worry is that we have really leaned on Zeke over the last 2 years, and I think it's going to be tough transition to start until roles get defined..

This is going to sound weird........but, I almost believe that we had too many offensive weapons this year. We had to get Cardale going. We had to get Zeke the ball. We had to get Braxton his touches. Marshall needed touches. Thomas needed touches. Samuel deserved touches. JT was going to carry the ball a lot once he came in.
We had a hard time establishing an identity on offense.

Front 7 is extremely talented, but inexperienced. There's a LOT of 5 star and really high 4 star players. Same deal with our skill position players.

A lot of weapons, but no downfield threat. We really missed Devin Smith, and although the WR was pretty good, there was no replacement. That facet of the game was taken away, and it's by far the strongest part of Cardale Jones' game. WR's will be counted on more this fall that's for sure.

View next year similar to the 2014-2015 team minus a national championship. Next year will be building up to 2017 which is going to be an absolute monster caliber team.

Next year's seniors:
Cameron Burrows, Brionte Dunn, Patrick Elflein, Cameron Johnston, and Dontre Wilson. Burrows might be reclassified as a junior too. Elflein has been our best offensive linemen, but we won't lose much in 2017.
JT, Elflein and Raekwon are team captains.

Recruiting update
Jordan Fuller Donnie Corley Binjimen Victor Dwayne Haskins Malik Harrison
Maybe an outside chance at Rashard Lawrence. Also a top 10 overall player in Jeffrey Okudah who's also the #1 safety is expected to commit to us.

Kind of annoyed at hearing some media complain about the playoffs.
The object of the committee is to get the 4 most worthy teams. Not the sexiest matchups, and probably not who you truly believe are the 4 best.
Yes, Ohio State and Stanford were most likely better teams than Michigan State and probably Oklahoma, but both those teams deserved the nod above them. Ohio State not winning their conference, playing disinterested all year, and not having any signature wins other than overrated garbage Michigan. Stanford had 2 losses, and won a conference that was underwhelming all year.
If you took out resumes and went strictly on who you thought were the best football teams, you'd probably have the same 5 or 6 teams in every year. I think you need to earn it. Ohio State didn't earn it. I think if they play Michigan State again, they would probably win. Doesn't matter because they didn't when they were given the opportunity (at home)
I can listen to complaints on why these games were on NYE all day. I have no problem with that, but I really hate when the media complains about not getting the games they want, which leads to whining about ratings. Sports aren't meant to get fairy tale matchups. They are meant to get the teams that deserve to be in. We had two horrible playoff games, but I believe the committee got it right.
Considering that ticket sales for these playoff games have been bad, I can't see adding another round as a good idea either. My uncle has been buying bowl game tickets forever, and said this year the market has been horrible. He even offered me two free tickets to the Orange Bowl if I was able to get a flight to Miami.
I really like this setup the way it is, and hope they don't mess around with it..
I would change the days of the games however. The two playoff games last New Year's day just seemed right. Having them on NYE just seemed like they weren't as big of an event.
I'd also have the championship on a Saturday night after the playoff game, maybe the second Saturday depending on how many days are in between.
I know Saturday is a ratings nightmare, but the national championship on a Monday night is such a letdown. I remember back in 2003 when Ohio State beat Miami on that Friday night. That is how you go out in style.

I think you are a good poster, but I really disagree w/your take on this for two reasons:
1. Ohio State was more deserving than Oklahoma. OSU lost to Michigan State. Oklahoma lost to Texas. The Big 12 sucks. They talk big and they have their fans because of the high scoring games, but they suck every year in the bowl games.
Furthermore, Alabama's loss to Ole Miss was far worse than OSU's loss to Sparty. I know that it didn't pan out that way because Bama smoked Michigan State, but that happened after they were voted in.
I think the object is to get the best four teams in rather than leaving a conference out. Ohio State was one of the best four teams in the country this year.
2. The ratings sucked on New Year's Eve. ESPN is going to owe their advertisers a ton of money. I don't go out on New Year's Eve either, but it's not about me or you........it's about revenue.

If it were up to good/bad losses, OSU should not have been in last year. We had to hear the whole season about Virginia Tech.
I'm not going to completely write off a good or a bad loss, but I am more interested in what you've done. Oklahoma had better wins.

My feeling is that if you aren't the best team in your conference, then you aren't the best team in the country.

Is Clemson's QB a senior? I swear on that last run he looked like he 'hyperspaced' outta that crowd before he took of like that.

Watson is killing Bama's defense getting away from the pocket. Been an Achilles heel for Saban's defense for while now...

Although we've seen what happens when you start proclaiming guys who still have a whole year left.. Love his game though. Showing unbelievable touch on his passes tonight.

Bama is too scheme reliant. When things don't go how they play, they're a very average defense. Playing backyard football kills them.

So if Clemson wins does this mean ACC > SEC? That'd be 2/3.

I don't know why they keep trying to throw the long ball. They haven't completed one this half that I've seen.
