Now that the season is over he wants to sit home and not be in the limelight. If only he'd have taken that approach more during the season.

...yet when this was said before the season during his 5-day leave notice negotiation with rehab doctors, Papa Manziel, and "uncle" Jimmy, to get him back on the field, most were still blinded homer fans insulting those who raised doubts about Johnny.

Has anyone heard from him since the last game...anything? Not even a drunken stupor?

Not a fan of his, but he is at home with his family not wanting to be bothered with insulting questions like yours. He has enough problems without haters. This outcome was likely for him when he started twisting the truth about his girlfriend while in rehab, as was stated earlier last Spring.

Try to keep up troll. eotab has been one of Manziel's biggest supporters on here.

Ever since I discovered him as a troll I've been giving him the business. I don't feel a bit bad for that.

Notice how I never called mac a name although I disagreed intensely with what he was saying. I'm not a name caller.

But a troll is a troll.

How 'bout it! Some days I think there can be more maturity found in the children in the sandbox than we find on this board!

Nike and everyone seems to want to move away. Hopefully that's what Hue really wants, but hopefully we can move on from him and acquire some form of compensation for the immature kid. Late round pick, deal done!

I wonder honestly what we could fetch for Manziel...perhaps a 4th to Dallas? Of more likely a 6/7th? Wonder what goes down with flash Gordon...hopefully he can stay clean this year...not counting on it...praying Bowe decides to retire and we can save some money there lol

I would think that as well.

If you can't even get Hue Jackson to look your way as a QB, you have no value.

No coach worth anything wants to tie their future to Manziel. Some of us have been saying this for months.

Man if that's just not the honest to God truth of the matter. Seems like career suicide messing with that toxic entity known as JF. Let's just hope we're both wrong, and there's a coach/GM stupid enough to give us something to acquire his uhh, "services" or whatever JF provides. Headaches? Ya...

Manziel received the cold shoulder/silent treatment from #Browns on getaway day after he went to Vegas and skipped concussion treatment

he was done before we even started looking for a coach.

He might.

But he'll have to change to do it. He didn't seem to want to change his personal life here in order to do it. Maybe all he needs is a relocation - like, to dallas, where he'll be closer to home.

Actually I was a big JM Supporter so get your facts straight.

I could deal with the few beers and even the immature rapping videos, but lying about ones actions and missing sessions and basically putting himself above the team with his entitlement issues pushed me off his band wagon.

I hope he gets straitened out, I hope he defeats his demons.

I hope fans that are his fans and not browns fans follow him and do well

That's what all the kids say these days. You'll outgrow it.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I remember these same sort of comments, not just from this board, when Tim Tebow would leave a team. Is he in the HOF yet?

Face it, Johnny isn't going to the HOF with his current attitude. Getting cut or traded might be the wake up call he needs (and quite frankly, might be the only thing that wakes him up).

He won't.
He'll bounce around a few different rosters for a little while, and will almost definitely be out of the league within 4 years, at most.

He might also just be one of those guys who almost loses it all, only to realize that football really does mean a lot to him.

Unfortunately, I don't think that will be the case. I think that he wants to be a star, and party, more than he wants to be a great QB and teammate. Joe Thomas' comments on Manziel were really telling.

Thomas,

You must be new.

You are dealing with a fan base, dealing with people that:

Threatened to kill Marty Shottenheimer's dog. They threatened his family. (As per A Football Life)

Caused Bill Bellichick to get FBI protection to keep his family safe.

Tackle 8 year old child fans of the opposing team.

Caused Butch Davis to have a nervous breakdown.

etc...

Just be happy that Johnny's dog isn't hanging from the tree in front of his house.

Actually, the fact that this lynch mob has donned their white hoods bodes well for Johnny's future. The rest of those guys overcame our abuse.

He loves the limelight; he loves being "big time" and the center of attention.

He doesn't love football anywhere near as much as he loves the attention.
He WANTS the videos and the pictures and the paprazzi because he loves being talked about.

He's WAY more about that junk than he is about the job that gives him that garbage.

I can almost see him, about 10 years from now, trying to get into some exclusive club saying "Do you know who I am? I'm Johnny Manziel", and the club saying "Who?"

I felt that Manziel was a good, calculated risk at QB, but unfortunately the leadership, commitment, and drive just don't seem to be there.
