God invented weed. your christian God that you said is all powerful? he created weed.

Just because God created it doesn't mean he intended it to be consumed by people... he created uranium as well... doubt he was hoping we would make weapons of mass destruction with it.

Y'all can go back to bickering about guns or weed or whatever now.. everybody should just leave God out of it.

if i contributed to violence, than it's easy as hell to say that gun owners have also contributed to the violent culture we see today in america.

so if i contributed to violence, fine. but i can make just as many-if not MORE- parallels that even legal gun ownership contributes to violence here in america.

either way, you still lose. i win.

no matter how you guys try to spin the nonsense. you still lose.

i've said over and over i don't have a problem with the 2nd amendment, that i like responsible gun ownership, yet you guys sTILL IGNORE that, and continue on with this agenda that i hate guns.

you guys still lose, because you can't even debate correctly. you can't even get my ideology correctly. but go ahead and spin spin spin, make this about my weed use.

you guys lost. you will continue to lose.

go ahead and vote for trump. he's right, you conservatives simply don't win anymore.

My only comment was about invoking God in a weed discussion... so remind me how "I still lose"?

That was in response to your comment prior to that.

I really don't care about you getting upset with God. I'll bring him up whenever I wish.

My only other comment in this entire thread is about whether you have a big dog or a gun, you still have to be responsible for it... is that the comment you are talking about? Let me know if I'm missing something here.

yes, i think most people would choose a gun free society if the justice system can guarantee that minimum deaths would occur from gun violence.

you're saying you want as many people in the movie theater armed as possible? that's the ideal society you want to live in?

that people need to be armed to the teeth because we have so many dirtbag in this country, that's ok to you?

you and i have very different idea's of what a nice place to live is.

yes, i'd absolutely give up pot for a free gun society, because i'm willing to give up whatever personal vice i use for the good of the community.

i know people on this board don't give a damn about the man/woman beside them. i know you and others don't care for the good of our community, it's every man for himself ideology on this board.

but i'm different. i care about people, everybody.

oh and BTW, i don't understand why people are attacking me with regards to pot and illegal weapons.

i wish they use those illegal weapons to pop those teachers you work with everyday that touches and takes advantage of students and molest little kids.

can you point to a post where i say i don't want citizens to own weapons?

thanks in advance.

you guys are pulling statements out of your asses again.

Eeewww... Hit a nerve. Typical Swish style, start degrading others and their professions to deflect points in argument.

I never said you wanted no citizens to,own weapons. I simply stated your answer to one of the above questions about giving up pot for a gun free society makes a statement in itself.

Just so you know, I will never resort to belittling your career or those who work in it in a feeble attempt to prove a point that has nothing to do career choice. I,will simply not lower myself to that level.

Also, stop pretending you know me ( in your own words) and how I feel about mankind. Simply because we disagree has nothing , nothing at all, to do with kindness and caring towards my fellow man or woman.

Just find it rather laughable that someone who breaks the law daily by his own admission finds issue with something law abiding citizens choose to do. Gheeez....some people!

thats cute. you didn't hit a nerve BTW. you hit nerves with race related issues.

pot? come on now...

anyway, i don't deflect, unlike most on this board, i answer directly to what you respond with.

and where did i belittle career? did i got "C touches little kids" or did i imply that your profession have a few bad apples like literally every other profession?

you know what i would say if you made the claim about the military?

"yes C, you're absolutely right, we do have those kinda people in our ranks, it's disgusting".

once again showing that i'm one of the only unbiased posters on this board.

you disagree constantly with a TON of social issues. your track record shows you really don't care about anybody who isn't a child.

so once again, you can make this about my pot use all you want, but just like you and DC, and Arps, and 40, your fan club, you haven't called the cops yet.

also, i can make parallels with legal gun ownership and the rate of violence.

so spin spin spin all you like. if purp is fine with his board being used as a dance studio, more power to you guys.

I don't think Swish used the right word when he said he was "unbiased".. he is biased to his opinions, we all are, we think our opinions are right... that's why they are our opinions.

As for the topics, gun control, middle east, etc. I think he does a pretty good job of articulating WHY he feels the way he does.. sometimes he presents it in a way that ruffles some feathers, then again some people get their feathers ruffled over next to nothing.. so....

Fox News, on the other hand, is a news outlet whose primary job SHOULD BE to report facts and information in a format that is as unbiased as possible.. secondarily, if they want to have opinion shows where people discuss their own personal views, that's fine. But Fox News is about 90% opinion shows and 10% fact reporting... Unfortunately most of the national "news" outlets have gone in that direction.. so people watch Fox or CNN or MSNBC and they think they are getting news, when 90% of what they are getting is opinion or interpretation of actual news.

Agreed. 100%.

In addition, I think there is a sizable crowd of folks who actively seek out this type of coverage to bolster their confirmation bias. They KNOW that the news they're getting is skewed- and they like it that way.

I have a friend who deliberately gets most of his news from MSNBC because he likes that particular flavor of Kool-Ade. Got another loved one who gets all his news from FOX.

Both are insufferable in political discourse for the exact same reason:
Flip sides of the same coin.

Both are so 'in the tank' for their respective ideologies that you just KNOW there's been little to no critical thought behind their opinions. I frustrate the helloutta them because their demagoguery tempts me into playing "The Devil's Advocate"... just to see how well-conceived their opinions really are. One thinks I'm a card-carrying liberal firebrand and the other thinks I'm a tightazz conservative.

No room for gray in either of those two. Funny thing is this: they've been around each other for years, and get along quite well... because politics has never been discussed at the gatherings that they've attended.

I aims to keep it that way.

Personally, I like to watch different sides when it comes to the News and opinions. It helps me to form my own stance on various subjects we face in life.

I also have 60 years of life experience in watching how well the various sides have done in real life.

One of my opinions is that those who see a lot of Grey areas in the issues think they are wise and open but kind of remind me of Corn Meal Mush. It tastes kinda bland unless you pour some sweet syrup over it.

Sadly it's worse than that. We make up our minds first and rationalize it second. We then convince ourselves our initial position is based on reason. It isn't. So before we even get to confirmation bias we've already defended our position irrationally.

I disagree. In my early days I was a staunch defender of Capital Punishment but as the years went by I became aware of the fact that for the most part, mostly poor Black men were executed.

As I looked for more facts on why the Black Race was so evil I found the truth they could not afford good Lawyers and were appointed overworked Public Defenders.

This is not what Capital Punishment in America is supposed to be about. This was not American Justice. This was an injustice.

So today I am against the Death Penalty until we can provide a fair and equal trial for all.

Sadly, there really is no consistent, reliable source of unbiased news any longer. In a world where information is power, we're consistently, deliberately, fed misinformation.

Odd thing is, they always tried to blame the "24hr news cycle" to make excuses for shoddy reporting because we should all understand the important thing is who breaks the story first.

Funny, in all these years, I can't recall a single "breaking news" story on TV that happened at 3am. They never break news until the 5 a.m. crews come in.

It's not just your cable news, your local news can get just as skewed. I used to work for our CBS affiliate and that news room was filled with leftist leaning, socialist loving, tax raising, tree hugging wacko's. A lot of them went on to work for CNN once it launched.
